Chapter 10

1111 Words
After my introduction to the courtiers a bit ago, I've been dozing off for what feels like hours in my chamber. My and Draco's chat was cut short before I could ask him any more questions when Edmund entered, and he quickly halted the courtiers gathering. I didn't get a chance to follow him where he was going since he halted me in my tracks while he and Edmund continued their intense conversation. "Right now, go to your castle!" His booming wrath voice still rings in my head as Illad and him exchange a few whisper words before Illad returned me to the chamber and locked me in. 'Stupid Draco, his appearance was a complete waste of his attitude. I'm not even able to talk to my mother. I attempted a variety of methods to open the door, but they were all in vain. The door didn't budge at all. After a few days, the chamber had transformed into my jail. Since that introduction event, nothing has changed. I was confined to the chamber, with only Myrrah to attend to my needs and desires. Bathing, eating, and conversing in hushed tones. As a result, no one was allowed to enter my chamber for any purpose at all. Days of me in the chamber continued like that for a long time. I was disoriented as I stood in front of the mirror, while watching Myrrah on my reflection continued to brush my hair and pin it in a bun in braid concentratedly. She stated as she swiftly retouched the make up on my face, "You look grandiose your majesty, every piece of these is wonderful, and only made for you." I murmured to myself, 'I may appear grand, but I'm only a prisoner here.' Trying to hide my displeasure with everything that's going on these days. I gave Myrrah a friendly grin. "I appreciate it, Myrrah. "You, too." After Myrrah's assistance in getting me dressed and ready for nothing. She said her goodbyes and walked out the door. 'The door that everybody can open, but I can’t.' Isn't it possible that I could leave the chamber through the balcony? 'I said quietly to myself.’ In response to what I was thinking, and I dashed to the balcony's tall doors to opened them just enough for me to slide in. When I pushed myself outside the balcony, I was greeted by a cool air from the outside. My hair, which had been curled and fixed for a while, had been undone and is now flowing freely in the breeze. As I clumsily approached the stone balcony baluster, my heart leaped out as I almost fell off the balcony; the wind was so strong that it almost took me away. Fortunately, it was only the second pair of my shoes that fell to the ground, and there were no knights below. I breathed a sigh of relief as I peeked down below the baluster, looking for a way out of my room, and located one just below my chamber. I hastily hunt for some sturdy sheets that I can tie together to form a rope and use to climb down the room just below mine, tossing the other pair of shoes that is the only one that remains. I rapidly took a stride with my bare feet on the way to the balcony after fastening all the clothing, the freezing breeze making the cobblestone frigid, while I hissed in pain from the touch. I carefully ascend down on the way to where I was going by tying a strong knot on the baluster and gripping it hard. With a little luck, a wind blew through the balcony at an inopportune time, causing The rope began to swing wildly, following the direction of the wind making me squeal as I tried to suppress it, in order to avoid being caught by the knights if I yelled out loud.. Looking at where the rope was tied on the baluster, I carefully watch the knot that is slowly slipping in shudder. 'No, I have a long way to go before I can get down below.' Snap. As I descended further, the the sound of the tearing rope emitted as it began to slip out more. 'Kassy, you can do it! Hurry!’ I scurry down, panicked. And prepared myself by holding my breath and inhaling deeply before swinging the fabric rope as far as I could to bring it closer to the chamber below and crash to the ground. Nervousness caused beads of sweat to develop on my forehead, and the events churned my stomach. 'This is absurd!' exclaims the narrator. 'Kassy, you're insane!' I smoothed the hem of my nightgown, which was crumpled from my sudden execution, from the room below on my balcony, while I stood and composed myself. Hearing footstep echoing near from where I stood, with no intention of being caught after all the stunt I pulled off only a few moments earlier. I hurriedly hid in the wall as the moon's light could clearly show my shadow because of the sheer cloth of curtain to conceal some privacy inside, that could vividly show my figure outside. Along the click of the footsteps of the owner’s shoe heels was followed by the sound of shattered glass slamming against the wall with a familiar voice sounded not far away. "There's no time for him, his taking his actions again, after a hundred years since the last incident," he said, his voice quivering and broken but full of wrath. "He's going to take her from me." "Be at ease, your Majesty; you must think clearly in order to overcome him." I let out a gasp as I realized I was listening in on Edmund and Draco's talk. But why? What is happening? "Have you talked to Illad? What is the status of my orders? ” "I have already informed him, your majesty. That he should post himself twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week to protect her highness. According to your orders.” “His starting Edmund, his awakened again, and this time I don’t know what will happen If I cannot save her.” I gasped when I realized what I'd just heard between their conversation. 'Was the chat I overheard was about the basis for his unexpected confinement of me in my room? Who, though, is it? Who's going to take me away? ' In fear and shock on what I’ve learned I backed away clumsily in fright, and tripped over one of the balcony's vases, shattering the glass into shards on the floor with a loud smashed sound. “Who’s there?”
