Henry lingered behind when the others left and requested to speak to the captain. Viero looked up from his maps and charts when Henry walked in but didn't seem surprised.
Viero spoke before Henry could say anything. "Was it necessary to bring the two of them in?"
"I wanted you to get a look at Monsieur Cloutier." Henry remained standing, conscious of the fact he hadn't been invited to sit. Viero had a funny attitude about etiquette. Sometimes he seemed to care. Other times not. But Henry could never tell which mood he happened to be in at a given moment.
