Chapter 21
After carrying the pups over to where Mouse lay, and placing them down together below the ledge. The Wolf just laid there with her head laying on the dog"s neck. He wasn"t sure what he was going to do with her. He carried rocks and covered the pups, then he covered Mouse so as buzzards or large rodents couldn"t get to them.
Then he started stoning the opening of the shelter closed so the pigs couldn"t get back in. Before closing the shelter completely up, he spoke to the wolf. Reluctantly she came to him.
He finished closing the shelter and headed back. The sky was clouding over and there looked to be another storm coming in.
Steve made good time getting back to the cabin. He needed to get back to the pup anyway. He thought it was odd that the wolf stayed right at his heels
