Grabbing his rifle and pistol, he ran to the four-wheeler. Then he hooked the trailer up and after placing straw and an old blanket in the bed he hurried to the pup. He was at the pups side within fifteen minutes of spotting him. It was mud and blood from one end to the other. He seen no broken bones but there were deep cuts all over. He had no idea what had happened, but if he were to save this pup he had to go to work now. After sliding a blanket under the pup, he lifted him onto the trailer. He looked around and seen nothing of the others so he headed back to the cabin making the ride as comfortable as possible. He stopped at a section of fence were the horses spent a lot of time rubbing and grabbed some tail hair that was wrapped around some of the fence post and poles. This would
