Finally the weather broke. It had been a week trying to. One morning he had gotten up to four inches of snow on the ground. By noon, it was melted off and that evening it was raining again. This morning he had woke up to sunshine and clear skies. He saw elk and heard turkeys off somewhere in the valley. His leg healed very nicely and wasn"t badly scarred. The butterflies had held the cuts together perfectly so it had healed without stitch marks. The scar was only about a sixteenth of an inch wide. He had made sure to exercise the leg and massage the muscle so the stiffness was very little. It wasn"t going to give him any trouble. He was going up the valley today and look things over that he hadn"t had time to look at yet. Grabbing up his rifle he crossed the valley to the east side, the
