Steve sat back for just a minute to let the blood flow, hoping it would help clean the cuts. His thoughts were that the blood might run some or most of the dirt out of the cut. Then taking his shirt off, he wrapped his leg, making a tourniquet above the cut. Actually he just tied the shirt above the cut as tight as possible trying to slow down the blood flow. Then he started cleaning the cut so he could see just how bad it was. He opened the vents on the stove and put some wood on the coals. Then he placed a pan of water on the stove to heat. Taking his pants off, he placed them on the floor along with several rags to catch the blood and soapy water which he knew he would be spilling. Then he got his first aid kit, clean rags, peroxide, bandaging and extra roles of medical tape. The ble
