After about an hour of crying tears of happiness, we sat down at the picnic table that was set up in the barn. Chase and Frank had made a bunch of grilled food. Chase was next to me and we shared a plate of chicken fingers and french fries. This made me start to tear up again because this reminded me of the first meal we had together at the diner. I was so thankful for him sharing because it was the only meal I had the entire day. I explained this to him as I saw the look of worry on his face from me crying while eating. He gave me a hug and kissed the top of my head.
Elizabeth and her daughters were gushing about wedding planning and I was thankful for that. I would need all the help I could get. Frank cleared his thought and we all turned our attention to him. Elizabeth got up from her seat and stood beside her husband. "We have exciting news to share with you all." Frank began to say. "We're moving to the house across from you next month!!!!" Elizabeth excitedly shouted out.
I jumped from my seat and gave her a huge hug! "Oh my goodness! Congratulations! I'm so excited!"
Chase also got up and joined the hug and gave Frank a handshake followed by a weird man hug.
"We love visiting you guys here and it's much calmer than the city. It's also only a two hour drive to work, so I don't mind." Frank proceeded to tell us. The girls had a shock look on their faces; I'm guessing they didn't know about it.
Rachel and Betty asked, "WHAT?" at the same exact time. Jumping out of their chairs, they ran towards us and joined the hug. I guess this means they're excited as well.
We began chatting and I hadn't noticed Chase left until he returned to the table with a cake. They all started singing happy birthday to me and the smile never left my face.
After they eventful night, I was ready for bed. After I show off my new lingerie set to Chase that Elizabeth bought for me. ;)
The weekend was over and I was stopped by the secretary when I entered the school. I was informed that I will be having a new student in my class. I love being a teacher and am blessed with such wonderful kids in my classroom. I made sure to set up a new desk with pencils and a few other supplies that Dean, my new student, will need for the school year.
As the day went on, I couldn't wrap my brain around this new student. He looks very familiar, but I'm positive I never met him before. He's also being a little trouble maker already, on his first day here. Dean pulled the hair of every girl who had their hair up in a pony tail, drew on others artwork, and tripped another student on purpose. He would put on a fake frown and apologize, but I could see right through him. How is it possible for a young child to be so mean? I decided to have a parent-teacher conference. Hopefully, his mother or father can help me with this situation.
During lunch, I had Dean sit separate from the other children. I tried to make him feel special by having him sit next to me at the other end of the table. I wanted to talk to him alone and see if I could find the kind soul hiding within him. No such luck. He did say one thing though that made me feel uneasy. "You're the reason why my dad is dead. I hate you."
