Jason’s gaze turned back toward the dining room. Kitty giggled and did a little dance as she cradled the kitten in her arms.
“Would you like to go to the park with us, Mr. Montgomery? That’s where we’re going. We go on Sundays. We can take Eloise.” Kitty said turning her shoe on the floor. Jason stepped away from the cooler on the table. He could see Kitty’s eyes light up with the idea that she’d acquired a new person to play with her.
“Who’s Eloise?” Zach’s eyes were alight with laughter.
“The kitten, I named her Eloise, from the books. You know, she lives at the hotel,” Kitty said clearly exasperated.
“Eloise at the Plaza?”
“That’s right! Jason reads me the books. He always has a new book to read me from the liberry.”
“That’s library, Princess.” Zach corrected Kitty as if he did it
