Stalking The Hybrid

I lost

So I lost the fight, not because I was weak but because my wolf wasn’t skilled in combat and also I was convinced I was robbed. Ashley won and I had to shake her filthy hands and call it a truce, although I didn’t like the ending of the fight, I was glad that it meant an end of all that Ashley was putting me through. Somehow I felt like I had been set up to lose, but I brushed it off as me being a sore loser, I mean how could anyone be able to make me lose purposely? This was a learning curve for me because I had to make sure that the next time I attended that class I would have to be better prepared.

“What a fight huh...” Anna said as we headed for the showers, she had been trying to strike up a conversation with me ever since I lost the stupid fight but I hadn’t been interested.

“Yep, that was something” I said to her

I knew I was making this conversation awkward for her but what else could I do? I had just lost a fight that could’ve helped me gain the respect that I deserved. After we were done showering we met Ashley by the showers with her 2 little minions that I still didn’t care to know the names of, she had an evil and overly satisfied smirk on her face that I wished I could wipe off her face with a punch. I wished I could knock her out at that very moment but the agreement was that I become cordial with her.

As we walked out of the female bathrooms I couldn’t help but feel like we where being followed. I kept looking back and there was no one there, at first whenever I looked back Anna would do the same but soon she realised there was nothing there.

“You are acting so paranoid” she said “and its agitating me” she said and I laughed

“I’m sorry but I can’t shake the feeling that we are being followed” I said looking back again and she smacked me

“We are in a school corridor filled with students, of course we are being followed because we are all going to the same cafeteria” she said sarcastically

“no I mean someone is intentionally following us, but you know what you are probably right I am being paranoid and that’s probably because Ashley beat the s**t out of me” I joked and she laughed.

“But everyone is following us intentionally Lizzy, these motherfuckers are intentionally hungry” she said and I laughed even harder

After lunch we were back to class and today I had Biology with Liam...AGAIN. He was making the whole lesson unbearable for me, making all sorts of nasty side comments about me getting my ass beat and how I was not as strong as I thought I was. I just ignored the fool, the last thing I wanted was to be in another brawl with the Alpha’s son all because I was a sore loser and short fused.

To be honest I kind of blamed Liam for my loos today, he was acting funny during the whole fight, he kept making distracting comments. Ashley won not because she knocked me out but because she caught me off guard and I wasn’t paying attention, all thanks to her sneaky evil self appointed mate. Yes, I think Liam had a lot to do with her winning and I knew in a fair fight I would beat the s**t out of her, like I said she was weak and frail.

As I was driving home after school I realised that there was a car following me, I tried to brush it off as me being paranoid again but the car was literally tailing me. The car was taking every turn I was taking and when I finally pulled into my driveway the car slowed down before it sped past me.

I brushed it off as one of those weird people that had road rage.

When I got home my mother was already home for a change. Lately she had always gotten home late and I had to do all the cooking. So I was relieved to not have to bear the burden of cooking today. I wasn’t feeling very well and I was heating up like I was the day I met Liam for the first time. At first I thought that it was because the air conditioner in my mother’s old car wasn’t working but I was now literally sweating up a storm (or an ocean) and my clothes were now dripping wet.

As I went up the stairs going to my room I started feeling weak and dizzy and then I fell down the last thing I remember was the sound of my body rolling down the stairs until the bottom of the stairs and then I passed out.

“Hey honey, are you ok?” I opened up my eyes to see and hear my teary mother holding my hand

“I am ok mum, I just felt dizzy” I said as I tried to get up but had to soon lie back down as the pain on the back of my head hit me hard.

“Lie back down you hit your head real hard and you are heating up” she said as she reached for the thermometer and sticking it in my mouth like I was a baby.

“Lizzy, I need you to tell me the truth. How long have you been feeling like this and why didn’t you tell me?’ she asked and my heart pounded fast as I realised that my mother had finally realised my secret.

“Oh it started today, relax mum it’s probably because of the fight I had at school today” I said attempting to calm her down by lying and her jaw dropped open

“You are now fighting in school, Elizabeth is that what I taught you?” she asked in disappointment

“RELAX will you, it was part of school activities It’s called a wolf training class” I said

“Oh I saw that on the day of your orientation and forgot about it, but I didn’t think you would have to engage in actual fights and I also know that this has nothing to do with what happened to you earlier. I think it’s either you have met your mate and you don’t know it or you are about to meet him” she said deep in thought

“And if my suspicions are true then it’s only a matter of time before you develop and become a full grown wolf and witch” now she seemed very worried as she paced around the room.

“Mom relax, no one in that school could ever be my mate” I said lying to her hoping she would buy it. “No one likes me like that there” I added

“I hope not, because the more time you spend closer to this person the more your powers will get stronger and you will have to learn to control them and I can’t teach you until and unless they manifest. You are very short tempered so I am worried because these powers go on over drive whenever you get over emotional” she warned and I thought of how impossible it would be for me to be neutral when dealing with Liam and Ashley. I would have to find a way to ignore them.

“Cant I just change schools” I asked getting hopeless, I was normally not up for changing schools but it seemed that was the only good idea.

“No, that’s not an option, I will work up a spell for you to stay unnoticed and protected because the last thing I want is to deal with those powers without finding your mate, you will be a danger even to me” she said

“Mom, what happens if I fully develop without a mate? Or what if my mate rejects me?” I asked hoping she wouldn’t realise the latter was the truth

“Well honey let’s hope it doesn’t come to that” she said avoiding answering my question and I could see that she was hiding something
