The narrow stone stairs seem to descend forever dimly lit by lanterns following the curve of the spiral steps. The knot in my stomach growing the further we go. The sound of our steps echoing off of the cold stone. We do not speak this is not a place for words. As we reach the bottom the stairs give way to a long corridor, each side lined with an armed demon guard ever ready in case anything escapes from the portal. Full attention turns on us as we step into the corridor then each head bows as we pass. The eerie silence seeping into your very bones. The corridor ends in a vibrant blue vortex the portal to the prison, the only physical way there and back, a prisoner is able to be sent to the prison using magic but no one can use magic to get out, the very spells that created the prison
