I turn the corner then cross over to the entrance of the unusually dark and eerily quiet park. I was making my way home from a late cram session at the library. If i was human the hairs would be standing on the backs of my arms and my intuition would be telling me to run in the opposite direction. Something felt especially off tonight, the once bright moon now invisible behind a thick sheet of cloud, like it didn’t want to witness this night. Instead of feeling like i needed to run in the opposite direction I was being drawn towards the centre of the park. I quickened my step, I felt a sudden stab of terror, not my own, it’s almost flavouring the air, without even realising it I begin to run straight towards the terror.
