"Janice, you need to wake. Now." I was shaken again, this time with more force. A wave of guilt washed over me as my eyes opened up to see Ella, the girl that had been forced to be at my beck and call. I propped myself up on my elbows before wiping at my face. Carter lay beside me, his presence making my morning-self feel slightly uncomfortable. "You okay?" Ella asked. I nodded at her then ran my hands through my knotted brown hair. "What's the hurry?" The question was groggy, the sleepiness still deep in my system. Ella giggled, way too loud for so early in the morning. "Silly, your wedding is today."
