(Aiden POV)
A long time ago, even before I was born, there was a war between the sorcerers. The younger daughter of the King, Princess Amelia moved against her own father. She was bewitched and betrayed by the dark sorceress who wanted nothing but revenge against the king.
The result of the protest resulted in the princess and her followers been banished from the realm.
One among them was the high general of the Dominion of Amarz.
The injured general roamed the surface of the earth for a whole week until he stumbled upon my mother.
A human college girl who surprisingly was his Amor. They fell in love and got married. A year later they had me.
I am the son of Lord William, the banished high general of sorcerers. I am what the sorcerers points out as a 'Levior'- A sorcerer without a mate.
But I was not always called a Levior.
Like any other sorcerer, at the age of 5, I received my stone. My father was proud and celebrated my proud moment of being a greater control sorcerer.
"Congratulation, my son. You are a greater sorcerer" he said as he handed me his generation family ring.
I remember the happiness I had when I saw the opal-like stone floating above me. It was the best day of my life.
Since then, every day after school and weekends, my father trained and thought me what it is to be a sorcerer.
But I was 11 when it happened.
I was playing football with my friends when I felt a very sharp pain through my spine. I screamed and fell on my knees as the pain only increased.
I could hear people should in the background but it was all in a distance.
"Help" I heard a weak small voice. "Help" it repeated before a sharp pain filled my head. I screamed even more loudly as the pain becomes unbearable.
I could still hear the girl crying for help. When any other person touches me, the place burns and I scream out.
My visions were blurring and I felt like vomiting. I wanted this pain to stop.
The last thing I remembered was the sound of an ambulance before everything around me turned blank.
I woke up to the sound of beeping. I was in a coma for a week.
Father and mother were beside me when I woke up. I felt weak and my body was aching.
"What happened?" I asked with my parents as they look at me in worry.
"Aiden, you have undergone what is called a chosen process," my father said as I frowned confused.
"What?" I asked as he sighed and took my hand. My eyes widen as I saw an unfamiliar tattoo design. It consists of swirls and designs and it wrapped around my wrist completely.
"What is this," I asked as I looked at it.
"It is called a Levior mark," my father said as I looked at him in shock.
I was shocked at what I heard. Father had taught me about the mark and I was shocked when I bore it.
But I have learned that people are marked Leviors at the age of 5 when the stone above the head will have the mark of Lord carved on it.
"But I was already chosen as a greater sorcerer," I said as he nods.
"There are very rare cases where Leviors are chosen midway. It's still unknown why but I guess it is the miracles of our lord" he said as I looked at my arms.
"I heard a voice. It was a girl shouting for help. My whole body was paining and I could do anything" I said as his face whitens.
"What's wrong?" I asked as he looked away. "Dad, what's wrong?" I said as he sighed and looked at me.
"That must be your Amor," he said as my eyes widen.
"What?" I asked as he put his hand on your cheek.
"Remember what I told you about Leviors? They can't have Amors" he said as my eyes widen.
"You must have heard your Amor's cry. Maybe that is why you were chosen for being a Levior" he said as my eyes filled with tears.
I always loved hearing stories of how magical it was when my dad met mom. The connection, their pulling. I was waiting for the day when I sense her. But now...
"Don't cry baby" Mom said as he wiped my tears.
"Are you guys disappointed that I am a Levior?" I asked as their eyes widen.
"Aiden, we will never be mad or disappointed at you. This is not your fault. Fate can be cruel sometimes" Dad said as he wiped my tears.
"Aiden. I am sorry you had to go through such a heartbreaking thing and I know you were excited about your Amors but you must not let this affect your life. You always will have the opportunity to fall in love. You can experience dating and fall in love in a human way" Mom said as I sniff and nodded even though love was the last thing I had in mind.
It took months for me to overcome the tragic moment I faced. Both my parents were by my side when I was at my lowest. I wanted to live and be happy, to make them happy.
I started to adjust to the life of Levior. Once I put my mind to it, it wasn’t hard. I became more humanly than a sorcerer.
At the age of 17, I met Winter. She was broken-hearted and weak. I became her friend. I helped her forget the man who left her. I became her dance partner.
We became inseparable. Slowly I fell in love with her. Our talent led us to admission to the finest, richest, and most famous dance academy - "Vibrance Academy".
I thought of telling her about my love there. But then she bumps into her old love. He turned out to be a werewolf and he was her Amor.
Things complicated for me but I wanted what is best for her so I accepted her relationship and buried my love.
I guess I lost the belief of love after that. I confirmed that I was not meant to be loved.
But then I met her.
I was in shock when I found out I had an Amor. She was a prisoner under the rouges for 10 years. The moment I touched her, my mark of Levior burned and dissolved.
She became my world although she doesn’t even know who I am.
I sighed as I looked at the tan skin girl lying on my bed.
It's been 3 years since I found her. 3 years since the battle with the rouges. 3 years since she lay there in my bed without the slightest movement.
Doctors don’t know what is wrong. They said she must be sleeping to recover from the damages.
I hope so because I want to meet her, talk to her, tell her "I love you, mi Amor" and see her smile and reply back.
I want to hold her, cherish her, spoil her, take her on dates, worship her.
"Won't you wake up soon, Amor?" I said as I kissed her forehead before making my way to my job.
