Meeting my mate wasn't what I had expected. It hurt. But Micah said it was because of first mate. Liked Micah. Liked how Dana is with him.
But, I will not pine for a taken wolf. I will accept Micah for Dana, but Asher can go be by himself.
I felt the tickle of pursuit even before I heard him.
“He wants to know if we'll reject him,” Dana told me. She sounded so sad. She had thought she was the problem, her standing in the way of my happiness- but it was the other way around. But I would not hurt my human.
I dismissed him, continuing on my run, enjoying the movement. And maybe enjoying my mate following me too.
