I had no set destination. My feet moved on their own. My mind was racing with a hundred different things. I was upset with everything. I was frustrated, confused, hurt, I felt everything. I thought my life was hard enough before but now it was even worse. I really thought meeting Tre was the blessing I needed.
Maybe I put too much expectation on him and this situation. Maybe I should've just stayed the way I was before. Just stayed in the apartment the Hughes got for me. Stayed under the radar of DJ and Angel. Just grin and bear it. It's my senior year. I wouldn't have long before we all went our separate ways. They would be off to some fancy college because they are well off. I would just be working to make it. Maybe get a second job. Get my life together slowly on my own.
