I made my way towards the kitchen, my mind deep in thoughts. I ignored my Lisa for years but it was for her own good. We were at war with the rival family and I didn't want to put her in danger. If the rival family had got a whiff of her, they'd have targeted her to take me down and would have succeeded as I will sacrifice my life if it means to keep her safe.
I felt bad for ignoring her but I'd live with her being angry with me as long as she is safe and alive. For the last 5 years, she had been my rock.
She has consumed my each and every thought. No matter how tired I was, the memory of her smile vanished all of my fatigue. She has kept me sane all this time.
She was always there with me even when we were miles apart.
