Chapter 6: Talia Sparks

Luna’s pov

I looked at Taylor expecting a response, but she just frowned a bit.

“ Well, you can never really know with my sister.” she said.

I nodded, she can't make decisions for Talia.

So I would have to talk to her myself and convince her to be my bodyguard.

I sat down a little discouraged.

I realised that I would be asking too much, and a normal person would never agree to this.

I mean who would leave their perfect life just to become some girl’s bodyguard?

I mean she hasn’t been home for 12 years.

There was no way she would agree to leave her home just so she could follow some spoilt brat around.

Taylor smiled when she saw me frowning.

“ Lucky for you, my sister and I are far from normal,” she said to me, and I looked at her surprised.

Can she read my thoughts?

I heard her chuckle, and she shook her head.

“No you are just really thinking about them out loud,” she said, and I covered my mouth.

We both burst out laughing.

“ Anyway, where is everyone?

I mean I have been here for weeks, but I haven’t seen Ashton’s brother or his mate,” I said.

Taylor took a deep breath and sat down.

“ Well, Bryan’s mate is out hunting some dangerous person who is believed to be the one behind the creation of wendigos,” she said, and I frowned.

“Someone is creating wendigos?” I asked her and she nodded.

“I spoke to Blake a few days ago. The situation is out of control and they are getting every hunter to work on the case,” she said, and at the mention of Blake’s name, my heart skipped a beat.

What I would do just to hear his voice.

I looked up and found Taylor looking at me with a smile.

“I said that out loud too, didn’t I?” I asked and she nodded.

I looked at the ground not knowing what to say.

“We have to go and see my sister,” Taylor said, changing the subject.

It's like she could sense my discomfort.

I quickly got up and we went to see Talia.

The drive from the pack house and Taylor’s family home is like 30 minutes.

When we got there, I could hear Talia arguing with her father about something.

“ Dad, I am just going to a bar for a drink,” she said to her father.

“You said that, and I lost you for 12 years, no,” her father said, and he stopped talking when he saw our car.

Talia immediately ran to our car and hugged her twin sister.

“I missed you, get me out of here,” I heard her whisper.

I smiled when I saw the twin sisters holding each other’s hands.

I don’t think that they even realized that they were still holding hands.

“Dad, you are too tough on her,” Taylor said.

Their father gave her a look and she looked at her twin sister defeated.

“Dad, I could stay with Taylor and that righteous husband of hers,” Talia said.

Taylor rolled her eyes when her sister called her husband righteous.

“You said that you would die if you stayed with those simpletons” her father said.

Taylor glared at her sister, who looked at the ground.

The sight made me smile.

They were a family, and a beautiful one at that.

“Ohhh Luna how are you?” Taylor’s father asked me.

That’s when Talia finally looked at me, they didn’t even notice I was there.

“Luna has something important to ask you and Talia, but mostly Talia,” Taylor said, and Talia looked at me with curiosity.

“Okay then come on in Luna,” her father said as they ushered me in.

“Where is mom?” Taylor asked Talia and she just shrugged.

We sat down and everyone looked at me expecting me to speak up.

But I couldn’t even say a word, not when everyone was looking at me like that.

“Luna is pregnant,” she said to them and they all just looked at me surprised.

“And how does the pregnancy of some werewolf princess concern us?” Talia asked, looking at me.

I actually felt offended.

And to be honest the little hope I had that maybe she would agree flew right outside the window.

There is no way she will agree.

The way she looked at me with disinterest and boredom.

like I am the most uninteresting person she has ever met.

“The child is a tribrid, has werewolf genes, witch abilities and vampire abilities as well,” Taylor explained to them.

They all looked at me and now they were intrigued and confused.

I was honestly as surprised as they were.

I has no idea that Blake was a witch before turning into a vampire.

And how would I know?

I know nothing about the father of my child.

“You said vampire? How?” Talia asked her.

Taylor looked at me and I knew that now it was time I tell my story.

I took a deep breath.

“I know it’s not possible, but a vampire got me pregnant.” I said, looking at them.

I expected them to burst out laughing like this was some kind of prank.

But they looked at me expecting to continue with my explanation.

“That vampire is Blake Darhk.” I said, and I heard Talia gasp.

She looked at me with a smile and she seemed impressed.

“You slept with the vampire King? OMG and here I was thinking you are vanilla. But girl, you have got some backbone in you,” Talia said with a huge smile.

It was only when Taylor glared at her that she stopped smiling.

But then she secretly winked at me.

I found myself smiling at this.

Talia isn’t like Taylor.

She can be childish and, unlike her twin sister, she talks a lot.

When you first meet Taylor you will think she doesn’t like you.

She doesn’t talk much, but she observes more than she talks.

Even now that I know her well, she doesn’t say much.

“Ohh child, if that’s the case, then you will be forced to marry Blake,” Taylor’s mother said.

We all turned around to find the other woman standing at the entrance of the house.

She came to me and looked at me with a smile.

“May I?” she asked me, pointing at my belly, and I nodded.

She put her hand on her belly like the way Taylor did.

I heard her gasp and she then looked at me with a smile.

“Amazing, this is amazing,” she said to me.

I wondered what it is that they see every time they touched my stomach.

“It’s a baby boy,” she said to me and I smiled as I touched my stomach a bit.

I looked up and found Talia looking at me like a kid who wants to ask their parents if they can have candy and I smiled at this.

“You can touch too,” I said to her and she literally jumped and then touched my belly.

She looked at me as she was touching my belly.

It wasn’t the same look that everyone else gave me when they touched me.

Hers was different and I couldn’t understand why.

She looked at me with a tight smile and then sat down.

“What’s wrong?” Taylor asked her and Talia shook her head and then looked at me again.

“Nothing, you said it’s a boy mom? And Taylor you saw the same thing right?” Talia asked them and they both nodded.

“I sensed twins, a boy and a girl,” she said looking at me again.

Everyone just stared at me for a moment.

I felt very uncomfortable and Taylor eventually told everyone to stop looking at me like that.

They looked at me like I was some kind of a miracle.

It was like they couldn’t believe that the baby or babies growing inside of me are real.

“Like you said dad, they will force Luna to get married to Blake and she needs an Ally,” Taylor said, and her father nodded.

Am I the only one who didn’t know about this?

I mean yes I never paid attention or read about vampires because I didn’t think I had to.

Taylor looked at me and nodded as telling me that I can go ahead.

“I would like that ally to be you Talia,” I said, and everyone looked at me shocked.

It seems like I have that effect on them today.

“What? We just got her back and you already want to take her? Hell no!” Taylor’s mother said.

“What my wife said, Talia isn’t going anywhere,” her father added as well.

They weren’t aggressive, but I could tell that they weren’t entertaining the idea.

“Mom and dad I gave the idea.

Its Luna not some stranger who needs Talia.

Anyways its up to Talia to decide what it is that she wants” Taylor said and looked at Talia.

I heard their mom scoff and whisper.

“She would never agree anyway, Talia looking after someone?” she said and rolled her eyes at this.

“I will do it,” Talia said and everyone including myself looked at her surprised.

“You will?” I asked her and she nodded.

“For as long as you need me.

I will be there for you and I will protect you and your kids with my life,” she said and for some reason I knew she meant it.

“Honey you do realise what this means?

It means you will have to always be there for Luna 24/7,” her mother said, and Talia nodded.

“I am aware mom; how can I say no to living in the capital. The most dangerous place in the world?” she asked with a smile.

“That’s one reason that would make you not want to live there.” her father said.

I saw her roll her eyes at this.

She looked at me and smiled.

“I am ready to do this,” she said to me.

We left with Talia and after that we got to know each other.

I learned her strengths and weaknesses.

She even asked us to come up with some signs.

Like when we are surrounded by people.

Instead of me telling her what to do I would just do the sign and she will know what to do.

I looked at my belly and I was only about 3 months.

But I was showing no matter how hard I tried to hide it.

I looked at Talia and she nodded her head as we went to Ashton’s office where Taylor and Ashton were.

They all looked at me when I walked in.

“I am ready,” I said, and Taylor looked at me confused.

“Ready for what?” she asked me.

“I am ready to tell Blake about the pregnancy” I said, and she nodded but then looked at me again.

“Are you sure?” she asked me.
