BLAZE’S POV

Today has been a whirlwind of thoughts, my mind hasn’t been able to shut down, and no matter how many times I had taken down the news of Aerilyn’s, something pops up again.
“Blaze! It’s time to go!” Monty yells. He’s been acting extremely close to me, and it’s not because he wants to be friends.
He wants to tag along when I do anything.
He wants to know everything.
He acts like my shadow, following me around, looking over my shoulder and trying to micro manage me.
“Don’t tell me what to do,” I turn in my chair, my view changing from the tall trees to the man who was once my best friend.
“You said I can help,” he slants his head as his body dropping against the frame of the door.
“Help, not take over.” I grit out.
Monty is oblivious, he doesn’t get the hint that I do
