Chapter 4“Those cuckoo clocks. Are they for sale?” Matt glanced up to see an Asian gentleman, dressed in a crisp black suit, white shirt and dark tie, addressing him. “Seven of them are,” Matt said. “All except the one at the end. That one is my mascot.” He noticed the man frown and explained. “That was my first cuckoo clock and is what my business is named after.” “I understand,” the man said. Speaking rapidly in what sounded like Japanese, to an older colleague beside him, he turned back to Matt. “And do they all work?” “Oh yes, they're all in perfect condition but I usually only have a couple going at a time.
