After exchanging rings and vows, the priest gave a look of approval to them.
“I declare you husband and wife, from this day onwards.”
“Now, you may kiss the bride.” He said, stepping away.
Nina looked into his face, looking sad like never.
He came closer to her ears and whispered something.
Nina’s eyes widened in shock.
He gave a sadistic smile and pressed his lips against hers, quite forcibly.
What he said was… “I told you. You can only be mine, my EX.”
After he broke the kiss, he smiled at the guests.
“Put me down, now,” Nina commanded.
“I can stand on my own.”
“As you say,” he puts her down. Then stood next to hers.
The guests came to greet him and gave their blessings to them.
When he was engaged in talks, Nina tugged at his arm.
He stared at her all puzzled.
“Come with me!” she stated in a gruff voice.
“Uh…excuse me for a second,” he said, going to a side.
“What’s wrong?”.
“Do you need anything?”.
“Take me to Tyson! I want to see him!” she retorted, clenching her fists tightly.
“But, you haven’t even thrown the bouquet yet. Are you sure you want to leave?”.
“Yes! I don’t care about the ceremony!”.
“Take me to Tyson.” She protested.
He sighs, placing his hands in his pockets.
“Fine then. Come.”
She followed him to his car.
One of his men came and opened the door for them.
There sat Tyson at the backseat all unconscious tied up.
Nina’s jaw dropped for a second to see her brother like that.
“Tyson!” she yelled, heading inside the car.
She sat next to him and looked at him with a concerned face.
“Why did you tie him up? Why’s he not awake!” she yelled frantically.
“They tied him up 'cause he was moving too much,” he added.
“And he’s just drugged a bit. He’ll wake up in 6-7 hours of sleep.”
“Don’t worry.”
She traced his face, caressing it.
“Sorry, Tyson.” She murmured, placing her forehead against his.
“Hey, show some affection to me as well.” Grunted the guy whom she married just now.
“I’m your brand new husband!” he added, sitting down next to her.
Nina turned to him and glared at him.
“You already ruined my marriage! What else do you want from me? My life!” she retorted.
He was a bit surprised, then sighed.
“Ruined it? That’s kind of rude, you know?” he grunted, loosening the tie on his tuxedo.
“Weren’t you looking forward to marrying me?”.
“Collins, start driving.” He instructed the driver.
“Not at all!” she retorted.
“And why are you telling him to drive?”.
“We are done with the ceremony. You’ll be living with me in my house from now onwards,” he replied, taking out his phone and doing something on it.
Her face goes pale. “What?”.
“No way!”.
“Drop us off at our house. I don’t have any wish to stay with you.”
“Open the damn door!”.
“What are you talking about?” he replied in a bored tone, still staring into his phone.
“We are a married couple now. Of course, you’ll move into my house according to the law and traditions.”
“Richard!” Nina yelled, grabbing onto his arm.
“You are going too far with this!”.
He smiled, turning to her.
“Finally, you called me by my name. And the full name on it. You only do that when you are angry at me.” He mused.
Nina became a bit flustered and angry at his comment.
“Ricky! This isn’t funny at all!”
“I need to see Nolan and deal things with him.”
“Drop me off at my house.”
“Why are you mentioning him again?” he asserted.
“You are going to my house, and that’s decided!”.
“I’ll only drop your brother at your house.”
She grabbed him by his collar and pulled him close to her.
“Richard Anderson!”.
“We have already broken up 1 year ago.”
“Why’s this so hard for you to accept?”.
His face turned serious, as his eyes narrowed.
“And that’s the fact that I can’t accept. That we have broken up already.”
“That’s why I’m so desperate for us to get back together, no matter what.” He said with confidence.
Nina furrowed her eyebrows in confusion.
“Why can’t you accept our break-up?”.
“We can’t stay together. Why’s this so hard for you to accept?”.
Her grip on his collar is coming loose with every passing minute.
“Why can’t we stay together?” he asked, placing his hand on top of hers.
His tone is as gentle as ever. And his eyes have become softened as well.
“What have I done, that you decided to break up with me suddenly?”.
“I treated you no less than a lady deserved.”
“Then, why?”.
“Where did I go wrong?”
“Do you need more jewelry? Dresses? Mansions? Money? Lands? Fame? What do you need? I’ll give it to you.”
“Just ask for it! But, please don’t leave me.” He pleaded.
“Don’t end our relationship.”
“I beg of you.”
“Except for those materialistic things, what else can you give me?” she retorted, lowering her eyes.
Richard became puzzled.
“What do you mean?”.
“What else can you possibly ask for than this?”.
“I’ve offered you everything.”
“Except for love and affection,” she repeated, glancing at him with a straightforward look.
His eyes widened for a second as he gulped.
“That’s….”.
“I bring you on dates, give you gifts, how’s this me not showing me love to you?”.
“This is how guys show love to their partners, right?”.
She clicked her tongue, grabbing onto his shirt tightly.
Her gaze was getting more intense with every passing second.
“Are you seriously committed to this relationship in the first place?” she remarks without avoiding his eyes.
His face had gone pale for a second to hear that.
“Or do you want to own me, that’s why you don’t want us to go our separate ways?”
“That can be the only reason I think of.”
He adverted his gaze, looking sideways.
She removed her hands from his clothes, seeing him go silent.
She heaved a sigh and stared down at her hands.
“Do you realize how many times you tried to approach me, after our break-up?”.
“I even lost the count of it.”
He remained silent.
“Why do you have to be like this?”.
“The reason I broke up with you, was because we needed a new start. You weren’t able to understand how I felt about you, nor was I able to understand what you felt about me.”
“When none of us can get our feelings across, it’s better if we go our separate ways.”
The car stopped suddenly.
Nina looked around. They were right in front of her house.
“Open the door, there’s nothing more for me to talk with you.” she asserted.
“I’ll take Tyson with me.”
When no one was opening the door, she tried to open it herself. But the door didn’t budge at all.
“Open the door already-“.
Richard grabbed onto her hand and pulled her onto his body.
Nina became confused and looked around. Then stared into his face.
“What’s the meaning of this?” she scoffed.
“Open the door, we are leaving.”
His face turned serious.
“No one’s leaving except for Tyson.” He retorted.
“Huh?”.
“Collins, take this boy out and drop him at the doorway. He’ll be awake by the night.”
“You don’t have to worry about him.”
“Got it, Boss.”
The driver came and opened the door.
Nina became all the more confused.
“Hey! Let me go!” she protested, trying her best to free her arm.
But, Richard wasn’t letting her go.
He took out Tyson, and threw him over his shoulder, carrying him towards their house.
Nina watched him go and her face filled with anxiety.
“Richard Anderson!” she stated, glaring at him.
“Let me get out of the car.”
“Right, this instant.”
His eyes turned as cold as ice, emotionless, empty.
“You aren’t going anywhere,” he spoke in a cold voice.
“And why’s that?” she yelled.
“Cause you are coming somewhere with me.”
“What?”.
“No way-“.
“And that’s an order.”
Nina bites her lips out of frustration.
“Yeah, that’s the point of it,” she grunted.
“We can’t be a normal couple when you have to order me something and I can’t refuse it.”
“We can’t……ever….do you get it, Richard?” she yelled, glaring at him.
He gave a glance at her and looked at Collins who approached their car.
He opened the door and got to his seat.
“Struggle all you want to, unless you want me to undress you here,” he gave a stern reply, turning to Collins.
Nina glanced at him with an angry and frustrated expression.
“There’s a change of plans,” he comments. “You don’t need to go to the mansion.”
“Find a hotel nearby, and drop us off there as fast as possible.”
“I want to vent out some stress.”
Nina became puzzled, “Why to a hotel?”
“There’s a five-star hotel in a 10-minute distance from us, will that be alright?” Collins replied.
“Yeah, that’ll be alright,” Richard replied, leaning onto his seat after letting go of Nina’s hands.
She sat as far as possible away from him, glancing out through the window.
“I’m not going to the hotel, let me make it clear to you,” she stated, looking away from him.
He glanced at her and looked away. “We’ll see.”
