The car stopped after 10 minutes. Collins gave a signal to Richard and he nodded.
He came and opened the door for them.
“Come,” Richard called, grabbing onto Nina’s hand as they were getting out.
“Hey, leave me!”.
Yet, he dragged her out by force.
She stood in front of the entrance of the hotel. The sun was starting to set, making the surroundings get dark with every passing second.
She glanced at Richard. “I’m not going inside with you. Do you get that?” she retorted, pointing at him.
He looked at Collins as he kept hold of her hand.
“Come and book a room for me. Then, you can leave,” he commanded to him.
Collins nodded. “Sure.”
“Let’s go.” He started dragging her inside regardless of her protests.
They were drawing attention as she kept whining.
While they stood at the counter, Collins booked a room for them.
“How long do I have to say that I’m not going anywhere with you?” she retorted, struggling to free her arms from his grasp.
“Here’s the key to the room,” Collins said, holding out the key to Richard.
“Thanks.” Richard took it from his hand.
“Hey, give it back to him!” Nina yelled. “We don’t need that.”
“You are bothering others,” he grunted, lifting her in his arms, princess style.
“It’s room number 34,” Collins reminded with a smile.
“Thanks a lot,” Richard added, before walking out of there towards the room.
Nina wrapped her arms around his neck for support.
“Why aren’t you listening to me?” she retorted.
“let me down, will you?”.
“I don’t have to listen to you,” he replied.
“Why’s that?”.
“Cause you are speaking nonsense.”
“Huh?”.
“You know better than anyone why we are here.” His tone became serious.
Nina observed his face and lowered her eyes.
“I don’t have any feelings for you,” she murmured loud enough for him to hear.
“I won't do it with you.”
"Do I look like I care about it?" he retorted.
They reached the room, and he unlocked the door.
Taking this chance, she jumped out of his arms and dashed away from his side.
Only for him to grab her hand to stop her in the tracks.
She didn’t look at him.
“Let me go!” she asserted. “I’m not going inside the room with you.”
He watched her from behind.
His face was calm and composed.
“Why are you resisting me, when your body wants it?” his single sentence created some flashbacks at the back of her mind.
She turned around to look at him in the face, with her flustered cheeks and angry expressions.
“I…I….don’t want….”.
“Want me?” he mused, picking her up and throwing her above his shoulders.
He opened the door stepped inside with her above his shoulders, and locked the door behind him.
“Don’t you dare lock the door!” Nina yelled.
“I’m going out!”.
“No, you aren’t. So shut your mouth.”
“Yes, I am!”.
“Everything is over between us! There’s nothing left.”
“We have broken up, and one year has passed.”
“Accept it, already.”
He carried her over to the side of the bed and threw her down.
“Cool your head,” he grunted, standing in front of her.
She looked up and glared at him.
“Richard!”.
“You can’t do this.”
“Yes, I can,” he replied with those cold eyes of his.
“I can do anything. You just aren’t aware of my power, that’s all.”
Nina’s eyes widened for a second, her blue eyes went dark out of fear.
“Richard….”.
“You….”.
He hovered onto the bed, and placed his hands on her both sides, glancing down at her.
“You haven’t seen how much bad I can be, to get the thing I desire.” He spoke, in a low voice.
Nina gasped, her hands went cold suddenly.
A moment of silence passed between the two of them.
Lots of things ran in Nina’s head, but the only thing that she was concerned about at the moment was Richard’s presence.
He sighs, breaking the silence between the two of them.
Nina adverted her eyes, looking sideways not wanting to meet his gaze.
“It’s been a long time since I had seen you underneath me like this.” He cooed into her ears, nibbling for a second.
“It’s making me feel excited, you know?”.
“No!” Nina yelled, pushing her hands against his chest to move him away.
But, failed to do so.
As he was quite stronger than him in strength and size.
Richard has had an athletic body since his school days. With a height of around 6 feet 3, he’s taller than Nina who’s 5 feet only.
“Richard,” Nina’s voice was on the verge of breaking apart.
She raised her eyes, looking into his face.
“We broke up already. Why don’t you understand?” she stated, squinting her eyes.
Richard narrowed his eyes, placing his palm on the side of her cheek, and caressing it.
“Your face looks painful. Don’t look at me like that.”
“I hate that.”
“I don’t want you to cry in my presence.”
She glared at him. “Then, why did you switch places with Nolan at the wedding?”.
“Why was he with Kiara?”.
“Answer me!”.
“Why did you force me to marry you, by threatening to throw Tyson out of the car?”.
“Why?” her voice echoed in the room.
“If you don’t like to see me cry, then why do you do things to hurt me?”.
She clenched onto his shirt out of frustration.
His gaze dropped, as he looked sideways.
“I….intentionally don’t do anything to hurt you.”
“It’s you who find it hurtful, that’s all.”
Nina glared back at him.
“What?”.
He gazed back at her.
“I’m only doing whatever I can to protect you, and keep you by my side.”
“Why don’t you understand that?” he yelled.
She narrowed her eyes.
“You-“.
“And in the first place,” he looked at her with an angry expression.
“You were the one who broke up with me in the first place!”.
“I never agreed to it.”
“And I still haven’t heard the reason from you yet. Why’s that?”.
Nina adverted her gaze. “You know it better than anyone.”
“I find your actions upsetting and meaningless.”
“That’s all.”
“What’s upsetting about wanting me to keep you by my side?”.
“Tell me, what’s wrong with it?”.
Nina paused and gazed back at him.
“The extent you go to, just to keep me by your side, can you justify them through your actions?”.
“You don’t think they are meaningless?”.
“No I don’t!” he retorted the next second without thinking about it.
“All I care about is you, and your wellbeing. Nothing else.”
“You are wrong.”
She made her go silent with her statement.
“How am I wrong?”.
“You only care about your selfishness, your needs, your wishes.”
“You don’t care about my wishes, my likes, nothing.”
“You think of relationships like a game. And I, am only a favorite item of yours in the game. That’s all there is to it.”
“As long as you can get me, and keep me as your prisoner, you don’t care about anything else.”
“And if I won’t comply, you’ll use force.”
"Isn't that right, Richard?".
Richard grunted, clenching onto the bedsheets tightly.
And in a few seconds, the angry expression on his face slowly faded away.
He looked calm and composed as if none of her words had affected him.
"Why are you silent?" she retorted.
"Answer-".
"So what?" he replied, staring at her with his cold eyes, devoid of all emotions.
“What?”.
“So, what if I’ll use force to keep you by my side? If necessary, I’ll do it anyway. With or without your wishes. That’s all”.
Nina became angry at his comment.
“You-“.
“There are my men standing in front of my room, guarding it,” he remarks, getting off from her body.
He sat on the side of the bed, facing his back against her.
“If you want to run away, you can try to. No one’s stopping you.”
“But, if you can’t you need to give in right away.”
“It’s the 15th floor after all. I wonder if you can climb down safely.”
“Now,” he glanced back at her with a smirk.
“It’s up to you to decide what you want to do.”
Nina glared back at him. “I hate you, and the way you do your things!” she grunted.
He giggled. “I’m honored to hear that.”
“All of the acting that you did, about caring for me and everything, they were nothing but a bunch of lies, right?”.
He turned his face away from her. “Well….who knows?”.
“I’m a selfish man after all. I don’t care about anyone.”
“Hate me all you want. Nothing will change.”
“I’ll continue to love you, for all eternity.”
Nina bit her lips and started taking off her veil and jewelry.
When she was done, she untied her bun and let her messy blond hair down.
“Pull down the zip,” she commanded, facing her back against him.
He glanced at her in confusion. “Why so?”.
“If I can’t get out of the room, then it’s better to give up in the first place.”
Richard lets out a laugh.
“I see….good decision you made.”
“You don’t want to ruin your wedding dress after all.”
He opens the zip, which reveals her back. He came closer to her body and snuggled onto her neck from behind.
“Mmm…..your smell….I haven’t smelt it for so long.”
“I’m not letting you sleep tonight.”
