15. She is not your property

950 Words
James decided to meet up with Ryan and Bruce at Pizza Bella, their usual hangout place. The weekend was almost over, and he needed to get out of the house. He texted Ryan to let him know that he was headed to the place. He arrived at the pizza place around 6:20 and saw Ryan and Bruce sitting at one of the high top tables. "What's up dickwad?" Ryan greeted. "I am f*****g starving," James replied. "I hope you are buying this time." Ryan waved his hand in disagreement. "I'm not a rich b***h like you, so... not a chance." James rolled his eyes in response. Bruce interjected, "I'd hate to interrupt your lover's quarrel, but guess who is having a little date over there?" Bruce pointed his thumb behind James. James looked behind him and saw Mason Brown sitting at the booth with none other than Nora. His Nora. His eyes burned. Feeling of anger and jealousy bubbled up inside of him. He quickly got up from his chair. Ryan put his hand on his shoulder. "Maybe you should let it go, man. As funny as it is to watch you torture that poor innocent girl, I just wanna have pizza." James ignored him, "I won't stop playing with her as long as I live and tonight's no different. She is mine, and no guy gets to be near her." With that, he turned around and walked in her direction. Ryan sighed and turned to Bruce. "Well... let's go see what our lover boy is up to, I guess. Forget about the beautiful pizza I could be eating right now." Bruce laughed and followed Ryan and stood behind James. James glared at the couple sitting at the booth. Mason Brown sat in front of Nora with a smug look on his face, and Nora looked absolutely devastated when she turned around and saw James. "What do you want, James?" Mason asked casually. "I was just wondering why are you out with her? I thought a pretty boy like you would have a better taste in women?" James asked, his eyes never leaving Nora's face. "That's none of your goddamn business. Now, if you will excuse me, you are interrupting my date." Mason replied, clearly annoyed. "Nora IS my business. You are trying to get what's mine" James saw Nora fidget in her seat but continued to stare at Mason. "Last time I checked, she is not your property, James," Mason replied. James laughed, "I don't give a f**k about your opinion. Now, why don't you get out of here so I can deal with Nora, and I am sure you'll find someone else to wet your d**k in before the day ends." "Stop it!" Nora suddenly screamed. "I've had enough of this. I am not your property, and I will not sit here while you talk about me like I am not here." Mason quickly reacted to her outburst and reached across the table to hold her hand. "I am sorry, Nora, I don't know what this asshole's problem is. Let's get out of here." He stood up and proceeded to leave with Nora. "I don't think so." James declared, blocking their path. "Nora is coming with me, so you can just f**k off now." Mason glared at him, and they stared at each other for a few seconds. James held his gaze at Mason and wait for him to break. James knew that Mason had a huge male ago and will not back down easily. However, he also knew Mason was slightly intimidated by him. Regardless of his well-built physique, Mason could not fight against James. Even though Mason was athletic and worked out regularly, he was no match for James when it came to fighting dirty. Besides, he would be too worried about ruining his face to fight for a girl. Mason stared at him for a couple more seconds, then finally spoke, "Get out of my way, James. I don't want to fight you." "Don't worry, pretty boy, there will be no fight. I don't want to ruin that beautiful face of yours. Just leave quietly so I can deal with little miss sunshine here" James grabbed Nora's wrist. Nora pulled her hand out of his grasp and looked at him. Her face looked visibly upset, and her eyes were furious. She spoke quietly with a firm voice. "I am not staying with either of you. Especially not you, James! I don't know what I did to you to deserve this, but I don't care, and you can just go to hell." Nora declared, tears streaming down her cheeks. She looked at Mason. "I am so sorry about this. I will understand if you never want to see me again." Mason smiled, "don't be ridiculous. This is not your fault." Nora started to walk away, but James grabbed her from behind, "Sunflower...." he whispered. "Let go of me. I wish I never see you again." Nora twisted out of his hold and ran outside. Soon, he heard her car leave the driveway. "Well, I hope you are happy asshole, and thanks for ruining my date, but this isn't over." Mason glared at James. James moved closer to Mason. "I know you're the type of guy who likes to sweep girls off their feet with their charm and 'nice guy' attitude, but if you touch as much as a single piece of hair on Nora's head, I will destroy you." James snarled. "Are you threatening me?" Mason demanded to know. "Consider this a warning." With that, James walked out of the restaurant. "Guess I am not having my pizza. Let's go Bruce," Ryan let out an exaugurated sigh and followed James outside.
