DEATH

1320 Words
My parents had run into the forest to confront the Alpha who had attacked our pack. I followed them, determined to protect my family. But what I saw was something I could never have prepared for. My uncle, a regular omega who lived with us, had transformed into his massive black wolf form. He towered over my parents, who were mere shadows in comparison. My father, once a strong and powerful Alpha, was now weak and vulnerable. His body was limp, as though he had been drugged with wolfsbane. I could hear my mother's voice, pleading with my uncle to spare our family. "Please, don't do this. We can work something out. We can find a way to coexist," she begged. But my uncle was ruthless. He had always been jealous of my father's strength and power, and now he saw his chance to take it for himself. "It's too late for that, sister-in-law. You and your family are a threat to me. You must be eliminated," he growled. My father attempted to fight back, but it was no use. My uncle was too strong, and with one swift blow, he killed my father. I could see the fear in my mother's eyes as she screamed in horror. She knew that she was next. I was frozen in place, unable to move or speak as I watched my uncle turn his attention to my mother. "Please, spare me and my son. We won't bother you again, I promise," my mother pleaded. But my uncle showed no mercy. He lunged at my mother, and I could hear her bones crunch as his powerful jaws closed around her neck. And just like that, my entire world was shattered. I fell to my knees, tears streaming down my face as I watched my parents die. I knew that I and my little sister Monica were now alone in the world and that the only thing left for me was revenge. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. My mind was a jumbled mess of emotions, thoughts and memories. Oscar had just told me that I had also lost my sister Monica. I broke down crying, the pain in my heart growing stronger with each passing moment. I couldn't even stand on my own two feet and fainted in the beta's arms. When I woke up, I found myself in an abandoned house. The surroundings were bleak, with peeling paint, broken windows and overgrown weeds. I realized that I had nowhere else to go. Oscar told me that we could stay there, at least for a while, because the Alpha would come after him too. It was then that I noticed something strange. My once green eyes had changed to pure white, with no pupils. Frustration and confusion overwhelmed me, and I couldn't help but cry. My eyes burned with an intensity I had never felt before. Oscar explained that my father's wolf had bestowed his ability to control people with words onto me. I was shocked and scared at the same time. How could I control people with words? What if I said something I didn't mean? I had so many questions, but I didn't know where to begin. "Why didn't you tell me about this before?" I asked Oscar. "I didn't want to overwhelm you," he replied. "Besides, it's not something that's easily explained. You'll have to learn to control it on your own." "But how?" I asked, desperation creeping into my voice. "You'll figure it out," Oscar said, placing a reassuring hand on my shoulder. I knew that I had a lot to learn, but for now, I was just grateful to have Oscar by my side. As I walked into the abandoned house, I couldn't help but marvel at the sight before me. The house was in a state of disrepair, with broken windows and peeling walls. I looked around at my fellow bandits as they submitted the things they had stolen to me, putting them in the middle of the house. I had trained them well, and they were all loyal to me. I couldn't help but smile as I thought about Gwen, my mate. I somehow managed to find out she was my mate after just three days of meeting her. She was currently in the kitchen, preparing food for us. I knew that she was the one for me, and I would do anything to protect her. As I was about to ask one of my bandits about Xavier, one of my trusted men, I decided to take off my golden mask. It was a symbol of my power, but I didn't need it here. I revealed my lush golden hair that stopped at my neck length, and I struggled into the dirty toilet of the house to pee. The openings in the walls of the toilet were blocked by planks we had used, and I knew that I would have to rent an apartment for my team. I didn't want to waste money renovating the house when we could be using that money for other things. As I walked back into the main room, I saw that my bandits were kids with their own stories to tell about how they became homeless. But Gwen was different. She had a mother and a home, but she chose to hang out with us because of me. I couldn't help but feel a sense of pride in the loyalty of my team. "Hey, Amon, I found some meat," Xavier said as he walked into the room. "I think it's a rabbit. Should I cook it?" "Of course," I said with a smile. "We could all use a good meal tonight. And Xavier, I'm glad you're back. We need all the help we can get." As Gwen brought out the food, we all sat down to eat. The atmosphere was jovial, with us all laughing and telling stories. I knew that we were a family, and I would do anything to protect them. We were all in this together, and I knew that we would come out on top. "Hey Amon," one of the younger bandits spoke up. "When are we going to hit the wealthy district again? I want to get my hands on some more jewels." I smiled at the eagerness of the younger boy. "Soon," I said. "But we need to be careful. We don't want to attract too much attention." The bandits all nodded in agreement, but I could tell that they were itching for another big score. I couldn't blame them; I was too. But I knew that we had to be patient. As we finished our meal, Xavier spoke up. "Amon, I was thinking. Maybe we should start recruiting more people to our cause. We could be even more effective if we had more people on our side." I considered the idea for a moment. It was risky to bring new people into our group, but I knew that Xavier was right. We needed all the help we could get. As I was eating on the floor with my bandits, the sounds of horses came from outside our door. The other bandits panicked, "Don't panic," I reassured my bandits. "It's probably just some travelers passing by. We've seen it before." I went to the door to see what was happening. I was surprised to see Johnny, the son of the Alpha of the Wildlife pack, on a horse with other warriors who were on horses too. As I opened the door, the sound of the horses' hooves echoed through the valley. The sun was setting behind them, and its orange light made their silhouettes look more intimidating. Johnny had an unreadable expression on his face, and he looked around the room as if he was searching for something. "Hello, Johnny. What brings you here today?" I asked, trying to sound as polite as possible.
