Chapter 85

1001 Words

*Robert* The car parks outside the packhouse. Alpha Chris is outside to greet me and while I need to play nice, I have no desire to be here. There was no need for me to come and discuss the cost of windows in person. I knew him a bit from training. He was an arrogant ass, constantly droning on about how wealthy his daddy’s pack was, as if Lunar Falls wasn’t more so. It crushed him when he discovered things weren’t as they seemed, though, and he inherited a pack deeply in debt when the money from Lucas was cut off. Many packs struggle with this, the loss of money for allowing them passage with shewolves crippling them financially. They’d complain, but their fear of what Seth could do to them for their involvement is greater. They did wrong just for financial gain, and they know it.
