Malachi’s POV
I wasn’t sure if she was being serious or not, but the last thing I wanted to do was make her feel uncomfortable and I certainly didn’t want to give her the impression I was a psycho. I knew I could appear intimidating, but I had never had the impression she was intimidated by me.
“s**t, I’m terrible at this” I muttered, as a wry smile crept across her lips, and she started to laugh.
“I was kidding! I don’t honestly think you were kidnapping me, Mal, unless Mylee is in on it and Grams is also a hostage?”
