Maverick raised his index finger and stood up before he walked towards the apple that was neatly arranged on a clean table.
Finley's expression changed, but he nodded and retreated as Maverick had ordered.
At that moment, his phone buzzed, and he took out his phone, which was in his pocket.
He unlocked it, and when he went through it, he took a step forward towards Maverick. “Boss, Assistant Cliff told me to remind you about the meeting…”
Maverick paused his actions immediately.
Upon hearing Finley's report, Tatiana secretly glared at Finley's back frame. She wrapped her hand around her stomach and furrowed her brows before crying softly. “Ah. Cough. Cough…”
Maverick furrowed his brows slightly, but his expression turned deadpan immediately. Without looking at Finley, he ordered, “Cancel it.”
Tatiana clenched her fist, giddy with joy. She stared at Maverick, her lips quivering due to ‘mixed emotions’. So what if Finley, that bastard, wants to interfere? In the end, Tatiana still owns the last laugh!

Maverick placed the knife on the table and took out his phone from his trouser pocket. Cliff's name was displayed as the caller, and Maverick picked up his call immediately.
“Boss, the maid reported that Miss Valencia requested a morning after-pill. Also, four masked kids who went live a few hours ago have dominated the trending search on every social media site. They reported their missing mother, and considering the information, their mother is Miss Valencia.” Cliff reported in a breath as if he were afraid of Maverick interrupting by asking a question.
Children? Maverick's brows arched immediately, and a cold aura unconsciously emitted from him. It can't be that that silly woman gave birth to kids for his enemy, Corbyn Cirillo, can it? “Send it.” He tucked one hand and calmly ordered.
Cliff couldn't help but shiver, knowing clearly that it was just the calm before the storm. He couldn't help but light a candle on Valencia's behalf.
Maverick detached, cut off the call, threw his phone into his pocket, and turned to leave the ward. The thought of how that woman had become a mother sent fury overwhelming his whole being!
