Merideth entered her bedroom, quickly preparing for bed, when a message flashed on her phone screen. Her heart sank knowing who the message was from. How did he find my number again? I have been so careful. With a defeated sigh, she sank onto her bed and opened her phone.
She turned twenty today. Was all it said. Merideth shook her head sadly closed the message screen on her phone, jabbing a little harder than she should have. Knowing there was nothing she could do about it at this hour she rested her head on her pillow making a mental note to change her number yet again. Eventually she let herself fall into a restless sleep. Memories turning into dreams, that would eventually turn into a nightmare. The cycle she was used to that hasn't ended since she left him.
