Due went back and forth with Ty until they decided on the time.
She placed the phone by her side, “Done. 9pm works fine.” She said.
Ash nodded and continued with her food. They spent the most part of the hour talking more than eating. Due could see how torn Ash was over Eric. It wasn’t that this was the first time. But it still hurt her friend. And she guessed it didn’t help that Eric would immediately move to another female the moment he broke up with his current. He literally never went single for more than a week. And there were loads of females lining up for him too. He could have his pick of any. Anyone but not Ash. Never Ash.
Still, from how she saw it, he seemed to just be running from Ash. Eric wasn’t someone to tolerate people in his personal space. Especially females if he wasn’t in a relationship with them. The only exceptions to that were Ash and her. She understood that it was because Eric was pals with her dad, but what excuse did he have for keeping Ash by his side even though he didn’t want to court her?
Due didn’t claim to know about romance and love and relationships. She’d never been in one. She’d never loved anyone either. Sure she was attracted enough to some people to want to have s*x with them on a regular, but it wasn’t to the extent where she’d think she wanted to choose them as her mate.
And maybe it was from her lack of trying, however, it also didn’t interest her at least not yet. She had s*x partners and the like. She was in no way reserved when it came to her s*x life.
“How about a movie? I need something to keep my mind occupied.” Ash suggested as soon as they finished their food. She washed the plates whilst Due prepared some snacks and drinks.
“I feel like watching a cartoon.” Due suggested placing the snacks and drinks on the center table, then started to search for one for them to watch.
“Something funny will do. I need it right now.” Ash groaned and weakly flopped onto the carpeted floor beside her.
