“I am intending to build a yacht for myself and I shall need your advice, Rollo. Who could give it to me better than you?”
“I cannot think why you should want a yacht when you have the most beautiful château in France besides a villa which I heard you have just built on the Coast.”
“You must come and see it,” the Vicomte replied. “Although at the moment I have few neighbours and the best view of the Mediterranean, I have the uncomfortable feeling that very soon other people will seek the warm air of the South and there will be too many houses.”
“You will not invite me to your villa,” René said reproachfully to the Vicomte.
She pouted prettily as she spoke and he answered,
“I will very soon. At the moment my family are inspecting it, so we will have to wait until they leave.”
