“Wade!?” Jesse called, jogging after the soccer ball one of the boys had kicked completely off the field. When he saw the figure on the ground, his heart stopped. At first, he had thought it was just someone relaxing on the grass behind the bushes. Until he got closer and saw the familiar cane. He sprinted over to find Wade lying there on his back. “My God, Wade, are you okay? Did you fall? Are you hurt?” He didn’t pause for answers as he groped the man’s limbs frantically, feeling for broken bones, sprains, or anything out of place. “I’m fine, I swear,” Wade said and actually smiled at him. It took Jesse by surprise. “You sure? You’re smiling?” Wade chuckled, and Jesse leaned over to check each of Wade’s eyes to rule out a concussion. “f**k, you’re sexy,” Wade said, gazing back at Je
