“No, I’m sorry. Naomi and I were chatting and when my phone rang, I couldn’t get the thing out of my pocket,” Alastair apologized as he explained his rude greeting. I got stuck on the fact that Naomi was obviously with him. No matter where they were, and the jealousy that washed over me angered me as well. Logically, I knew I didn’t have to worry about Naomi. She was happily married to my boss, and she was Alastair’s best friend. I wouldn’t appreciate Alastair being jealous of Corey.
