Stranger

We quickly separate. I walked to the door and picked up my backpack while going through the living room. Myles and Aiden were standing oddly close to the door as I opened it, and then I made eye contact with Myles. He looks at me with a smile, and then his eyes shift to Kollin, standing two steps behind me. I could see the curiosity on Myles's face. "Are you ready to go?" Myles asked while looking at Kollin. I quickly responded, "Yeah, let's go!". I walk out of the doorway and head for the bikes while Myles follows close behind me. "Are you okay?" Myles whispered. "I'm good, Myles!" I said convincingly. Honestly, I am kind of embarrassed as to why I just made out with a random guy that I’ve only spoken to twice. I don't even know Kollin's last name much less anything else about him. I feel bad because I guess Myles could tell something was off, but I can't tell him what happened. Now I have to go spend the night out with all of them while these thoughts float around my head. I walk over to my bike and put on my helmet. I forgot to wear my regular riding suit because my brain was still fuzzy about everything. While turning on the music in my helmet, I look to the left, where all of the guys are, and I can feel Kollin staring at me through his blacked-out helmet. I casually look towards Myles, and he is signaling for me to go behind Aiden. It's about a 20-minute ride to the city. I love riding with Myles and Aiden because they make it fun, like killswitch you at red lights and pedal their feet like they are riding a bicycle down the highway. This ride is different, though; I can't get out of my head. I kept thinking about the way he looked at me, how his hands felt on me, and the attraction I felt for him. I quickly realize that I'm not keeping up with Aiden. I sped back up, started hitting higher gears, and passed Aiden. I just initiated a quick little race down the highway; maybe it'll get me straight for a minute! I look in my mirrors and see the three guys coming up behind me very fast. I hit a higher gear and took off again, but Myles came up on the right side of my bike. Aiden is on the left side and about a car length behind me. I look up ahead, and a bridge goes over the highway. I lift for a second and point to the bridge for a few seconds, marking it as the finish line. We all start going faster and faster. Myles and Aiden are still on either side of me, but Kollin is just behind me. I adjust and turn my body to the side, then turn my head around and look at him for a split second. I wanted him to know that I saw what he was doing. Apparently, he didn't like that because he started shaking his head in disapproval. I laughed, sped up, and shot off to the right to get into another lane. I looked ahead, and Myles and Aiden were finishing the race; Aiden jumped in front of Myles and kept moving to where Myles couldn't get back around him. Aiden won, and we all started revving our bikes. Aiden continues leading down the highway, and then we get off an exit. Aiden pulls into a parking lot and goes around a couple of buildings, leading to a big parking lot full of motorcycles. We pull in to find a spot big enough for all four of our bikes. We parked and started taking off our helmets; Adian smiled ear to ear because he had won the race. I looked around at some of the other bikes and didn't notice any familiar faces. "it was a nice ride, huh?" Myles asked. I smiled and said, "Of course, especially with a little competition." Kollin side-eyed Myles and me, acting as if he were mad. I don't understand why he would be angry about anything. Myles, Kollin, and Aiden started to walk over to some other people that Aiden knew so I walked in the other direction, hoping to distance myself from Kollin for a few minutes. Luckily, this bike meet had food and drink vendors. I walked over to a food truck to get a snack and some water. While standing in line, Kollin walks up beside me and stands there. I turned around to see if Myles and Aiden were with him, but they weren't. "What are you doing?" I asked skeptically. "I saw you were walking over here alone, so I figured I would come with you," he replied with a blank face. I turned to face him, "did I do something to you? Why do you seem mad?" I said firmly while crossing my arms in front of me. He glared down at me and said, "To me? No... I just didn't take you as the kind that would be so reckless.". "reckless?" I snapped back. "You don't know me, just like I don't know you from a stranger standing out here.", I fired again. He came closer to me and leaned in, "You better order if you know what is good for you," he whispered in my ear.
