Third-person Point of View
Louis couldn't take his eyes off Rachel who told him he smelled likes his parents. He didn't like everyone he saw in the class. The way they stared at him.
That they laughed at him after Rachel accused him of smelling like her parents didn't change his likes for any of them rather it made him feel terrible seeing them at the moment.
Rachel hurriedly backstepped while staring at Louis and plunged herself onto her seat. Her heart is pounding in her ears. She couldn't believe someone is going to find out about her secret after she has been doing everything possible to hide it from her classmates and everyone in school. Louis is like her and she already knew it. He is a werewolf.
Louis lowered his head as he tries to walk to his seat, he is thinking about Rachel and what she had said to him.
"Could she be like me?" He thought to himself. Louis didn't expect to meet anyone like himself in the school who will recognize him. In as much as he had to accept to attend the school and become a graduate before he could assume his father's throne at the Gold Coast pack. He still never like the idea of going to school and nothing excited him about it. So he made up his mind to put an affront from the first day in school. He made such a decision especially because he thought he would be different from all and no one will like him but Rachel had found something that got her interested in him.
Louis is concern about a smelly girl, Rachel, who made a vague statement about him and everyone laughed at him but Rachel is worried that someone is about to expose her long-hidden secret.
The rest of her classmates stared at Louis as he got seated
Soon Mr. Cameron started his lecture and in about 45 minutes he was done. Everyone left the classmate. Rachel disguisedly chased down Louis and caught him on the stairs as he is walking to the cafeteria, his eyes glued to his admissions letter with disgust.
"Hey! What are you doing here?" Rachel yells at Louis
"Sorry, how do you mean what am I doing here?" Louis said with a surprised look on his face over her questions.
"Don't give me that look. I mean what are you doing here! On my territory, you know the rules! You can't stay here, my Mom and Dad own this territory" Rachel yells the second time at Louis poking her face at him.
"I don't even know you!" Louis pokes his face back at Rachel.
"Exactly, so stay away from here," Rachel replied immediately.
"I don't care who you are. I don't care who's territory you are in charge of and you don't have the right to tell where to stay or go. No smelling girl like you should tell me where to stay" Loius walks out of Rachel.
Rachel headed to the cafeteria after the argument with Louis to meet Scarlett and Carlos who were already having their lunch without waiting for her. When she got to the cafeteria, she sat and was picking up their meal with her fork, slowly. Scarlett notice Rachel wasn't eating.
"Louis called me a smelly girl," Rachel said.
"You had said he smells like your parents in the first class. You insulted him and now he is coming back at you by calling you a smelly girl. He thinks you are always sniffing around" Scarlett chuckles, "Only dogs sniff around and I know you aren't a dog, wolf, fox, or something close to those weird creatures," Scarlett said.
"If you girls will permit me I have an all-important question to ask about our new boy Louis. Does he play football?"
Ooh, gush! Carlos is such a sick ass. He isn't even concerned Louis called me names. Rachel thought to herself.
Chuckling, "Come on, is that all you ever think about Carlos? I hope that wouldn't make you fail your test" Scarlett said.
"Ooh yeah! I love football, Carlos replies before turning to Jimmy who just walked into the cafeteria, " Yeah, Jimmy wouldn't you like the new boy to join our school football team?" Carlos asked with a loud tone just to make sure Jimmy heard him well.
"I don't think so. He is not going to be good in the game. I know. No one will ever need such a snub in our team. I wouldn't" Jimmy said.
Carlos grins as his fork hung in the air pathway to his mouth. He is disappointed at Jimmy's remark about Louis joining the football.
Laughing, "Let me reiterate what Jimmy said. 'He is not good enough to be in your team" Scarlett said and winking at Carlos.
Scarlett doesn't like the fact that Rachel is getting closer to Louis, the new boy because he seems to be a fool of himself. He thinks we ought to be the ones chasing after friendship with him.
"I have to go meet Louis myself. I need to ask him if he would like to join our football team," Carlos got off his seat. Rachel didn't like the idea of him going to meet Louis.
"Come on, Carlos you don't need to meet Louis " Rachel stretches her arm trying to hold him back, "That's not a good idea," Rachel said.
Carlos pulled off Rachel's grip and glided towards Louis who sat alone all by himself on a table and chair, not so far from them in the cafeteria dining but Carlos was left stunned with what he saw Louis doing.
No one would believe that Louis could be such a talent. Carlos stood still for a moment beholding the wonder work of Louis. Louis knew someone was right in front of him but he didn't bother to glimpse who it is in front of him.
"This is brilliant. You are really good in fine Art, you know" Carlos complements Louis who had just finish drawing a giant werewolf in the woods.
"What do you want from me?" Louis asks with an uninterested look on his face about Carlos's suddenly complimenting him.
"I just wanted to ask if you like football?"
"Not really" Louis replies without looking at Carlos's face.
"Are you also afraid of making friends?" Carlos asked.
Louis lifted his face to stare at Carlos with a grin, "I don't like football and I don't want to hang around with any of you. You got that and please f**k off my face. Okay"
"Yeah! I got that" Carlos replies clinging his fist and tapping his right foot against the floor. He is feeling more embarrassed and angered.
Rachel and Carlos didn't want to feel any pity for Carlos because it serves him right. They thought he shouldn't have approached him from the onset.
"Always thinking he is such an important dude. They didn't teach him manners in wales." Carlos said under his voice walking away from the table and hoping that Louis doesn't hear him out but Loius heard what he said under his voice clearly, thanks to his wolf super hearing. He didn't want to have any more conversation with Carlos so he just shook his head turned off about Carlos and continued his drawing.
Barbara, Andrea, Kimberly, three friends who don't like Rachel, and Scarlett rushed to Louis's table. Each of them took a seat, while all smiling at him.
"Louis look what we found, it is a pageantry competition. We will enter the competition and I want you to be part of it because you are dead looking good," Andrea said to Louis. She was hoping to get Louis to like her first before any of her other two friends tries to throw advances on him.
"All you need to be part of it is your portfolio," Barbara said.
Kimberly clears her throat to get Louis attention before speaking, "Come on, girls, Louis isn't interested in all this, what he needs is someone to show him around the school and I will be glad to do that"
"Hey, over there. That weird girl, who is she?" Louis points at Rachel ignoring all their advances on him?
"Do you mean Rachel? Her family has lived here for centuries, never leave the area, and don't like strangers." Kimberly said.
Louis turned around to stare at Rachel but Kimberly's description of her family got me thinking.
"Never mind about them Louis, they don't deserve your attention," Andrea said chuckling.
"But what are we talking about her for? Let's talk about you. And me," Kimberly said, chuckling.
"And us," Barbara cut off Kimberly with her remark. They smile at each other while keeping their gaze on Louis. He still felt they were fooling around with themselves trying to get his attention. He said no words to anyone rather he buried his head into his drawing and continued his artwork.
