My breath hitched in my throat as he claimed my lips once more, his other hand that had been sitting on the back of the chair slowly came up to me, cupping the side of my face, then slowly gliding down to my neck. I could feel everything he had wanted to convey with that kiss, all the things I was beginning to realize I felt too, all the edges we had somehow driven each other to. I stopped to catch my breath and his lips parted a little, but he didn't move. His eyes moved up to meet mine, and they were more intense than I had ever seen them. Dark, beautiful, mine. He looked down at my lips again, then up to meet my eyes again, his lashes fluttering delicately against mine. With a small, knowing smile, he moved to my side, pecked my cheek, then completely leaned away. I was left sitting
