"Carl," I said immediately he walked back in. He had been gone for hours, and I was growing anxious. He didn't say a word and started to take off his jacket. "Carl?" "Yes?" he answered, then slowly looked at me, letting his finger linger on the last button of his coat. I swallowed and moved forward, feeling like to some degree, I had a little right and maybe even an obligation to ask about him. How he was, how he felt, where he was. "You were gone for so long, I was worried," He shrugged, then finally removed the button, then smoothly peeled the jacket off his body.
