I said nothing, hell I couldn't come up with anything at all. He looked only half human at this point, and I missed his warmth when he suddenly dropped his hands away from my face. "Carl," I said, taking in a deep breath. "I just don't want to be the reason for another scandal. I created the pregnancy scandal and I am not sure how hard these people had to work to get the public to forget it. I don't want you to do things that other people will not find very appealing."
