Chapter 2 : Over Friendly?

After work Camilla locked up her office and as usual Michelle had left, Camilla got her phone calling Michelle to find out what happened but went unanswered
“Hey baby! Sorry left early! Am with Craig right now!” Camilla read the text that came from Michelle.
She put her phone in her bag and went to the parking lot, she got in her car and drove off to her house, she always worked late because she had no one in her life
As she drove there, she thought of how everyone was happily in a relationship but for her it seemed like everything always going sour, she stopped by the traffic lights and thought of ways she can just try and forget about everything.
The lights went green and she stepped on the accelerate driving herself home.
She arrived at her apartment after 30 minutes, pulled over in the parking lot and went upstairs in her condo yes, she lived in her condo thanks to the family she came from.

Camilla’s parents are one of the richest families in New York but she always tried to make she works hard for her things; her father bought her the condo as a present on her 21st birthday and her mother bought her the car she’s currently driving two years ago.
Camilla got in the house, put everything her bag on the table and her car keys. She went to her room took off her clothes and went to take a shower after she finished, she got in a loose t shirt, causal jogger with house slippers. She went to her kitchen and found there was nothing to eat.
“Oh god! I forgot to go shopping!” Camilla scolded herself as she hit her head, she looked at her shopping list and decided to just go and buy
She went to her room and got a hoodie throwing it on and grabbed her car keys and purse. She walked out of her condo and went to the car.
She got in and drove off to the nearest shop she could get food, she picked everything that she needed and went to the fruit and veg area, she quickly picked all the things she needed and went to pay.
“Late night shopping?” the store manager asked her
“Yes, forgot to buy things on Sunday!” Camilla replied
“I knew it the moment I saw you walk in” He replied smiling widely at her and she just chuckled and looked at him as she went to the rows of the shops
“Oh, Come George! It’s not that bad” She replied as she passed him the food from her trolley
“Of course, it is! If you come with your car” George replied and she just laughed looking him
After she finished everything was put for her in shopping bags and George asked someone to help her out with carrying everything to the car.
“Thanks George. Have a great night!” Camilla said walking out of the store.
"Good night camilla" He replied to her as she smiled
"Where do i put this?" The young man asked camilla who unlocked her car and he put everything in the boot.
"Thank you" she said to him but he didn't respond and walked away from her, she went on putting everything in the car
She finished putting everything in the car and drove off going back home.
She reached home and carried two of her five bags and walked to her apartment. She got out of the elevator and walked to her door, she put everything on the floor and opened the door after punching her code. She picked up the bags and took them inside. She went back to the car to get the last bags. She came back and as she tried to put them down, the one paper bags tore apart and everything just fell on the ground. Everything scattered on the ground and Camilla shouted out of frustration “What the heck?”
She tried to pick up the first apple, someone else picked it up and handed it to her. Camilla looked up at the stranger who helped her, “Thank you!” She said as she picked the last one after he gave her the ones he had picked up from the floor.
“You are welcome!” the stranger replied Smiling at her she carried everything.
“Are you new here?” Camila asked him
“Yes, how did you know?” he asked
“I know almost everyone around the building, and not many would help” Camilla replied
The man chuckled looking at her.
“Am Camilla by the way” she said extending her hand to greet him formally
“Am Nikolas” he said shaking her hand
“Great! Oh, thanks again!” she said smiling at him before she went taking everything inside and closed the door. She unpacked everything while cooking for herself when she finished packing, she continued cooking and when she was done, she went to sit in her couch sipping on her favorite red wine and having her dinner as watched Netflix.

“Hi baby, did you travel well?” Olivia asked through the phone
“Hi honey, I did have a good trip just trying to settle down” Nikolas said to her as he stopped what he was doing sitting on the couch
“Great! I miss you already” Olivia said excitedly to him
“I miss you too, I just wish you were here!” he replied casting his head to the ground with a smile on his face
“soon I will be there to visit you” she said making her voice sound like a little girl
“Okay let’s chat later I need to finish unpacking everything and go out to have dinner” he replied to her as he looked at all the boxes he had to work on
“When are you reporting for work?” Olivia asked him
“Well in two weeks time. I just need to settle down first before anything else” Nikolas replied
“Great! Night baby love you” she said
“I love you too.” Nikolas replied.
He put his phone in his back pocket and started to unpack, he thought of the woman he just met outside.
What kind of a woman was she? She looked like one of those ladies he would love to get to know
