Chapter 4 : You are my boss?

“Am here for a meeting with the Mr. Wright” Camilla said when she reached at the reception of the restaurant where the meeting was.
“Table 14 please,” she said and Camilla said thank you walking to the table
She found the man reading the menu. “Good afternoon Sir, I am here for a meeting with you” Camilla said as the man dropped the menu putting it on the table.
“Dad? What are you doing here?” Camilla asked her father
“Great to see you too! Why don’t you take a seat?” He replied to her
“I think I will be on my way now! I believe the last time we met I had made it clear that I never want to see you” Camilla said turning to walk away
“Cami…. My girl I have missed you!” he tried to say to her
“Don’t ever call me that! You lost that right that night. Do you remember it?” She asked tears filling in her eyes
“Camilla please!” He tried to talk to her and she just kept quiet looking at him
“Stop involving Adrian in this! And let this be the last time you will try to make contact with me” She said walking out on him. she held on tight to her bag as she walked quickly out of the restaurant. She kept looking on the ground as tried to forget about what happened that night, she just wiped her tears and bumped into someone.
“Am sorry! Please excuse me!” She said still looking at the ground
“Miss Camilla?” she heard a familiar voice and lifted her head she found it was Nikolas
“Oh hi!” She said feeling embarrassed about what just happened
“Are you okay?” He asked her
“Yes, thank you very much. Please excuse me am rushing somewhere” She said hurrying out of there.
Nick was curious to what she was doing there, he looked at where she was standing a saw, she had dropped something like an envelope with her name and the company name on it. “Camilla Edwards?” He asked himself looking at the document

After she left the restaurant Camilla just drove home without calling Adrian, she needed to relax first before she could call him or else, she didn’t know what she would say first to him if he called
“Why didn’t you tell me that it was my father?” She asked Adrian as soon as she had reached at the home
“Camilla, I believe that nothing in this world can never be forgiven or resolved. His trying so hard to be there for you and your sister give him a chance” Adrian said and Camilla just shed tears as she heard that
“Thank you Adrian for everything but no. Is it fine if I just come in tomorrow?” Camilla asked
Adrian wanted to say something but opted to keep quiet, “I will see you tomorrow” He said and she quickly cut the line.
Adrian sat down in his office and thought about Camilla, she had never experienced real happiness but all the time she had a smile on her face.
No one really understood the pain she was going through! He only wished that one day somebody will be able to help her heal. As he was in deep thoughts about Camilla his assistant called him
“Hello Sir? Mr. Parker is here” She told him and he quickly instructed her to let him in. He straightened his jacket and stood up ready to meet the new investor
“Good Afternoon Adrian!” he said walking in the office in a suit
“Afternoon Nikolas great to meet you” Adrian said extending his hand to greet him
“How is it going?” Nikolas said smiling at Adrian
Camilla spent the rest of the day inside the house working on the financial reports which she needed to finish before Friday before she went on leave.
She finished working on one then went to get herself something to eat

Two days later
She went to the office and everyone was talking about who the new CEO was and how handsome he looked. She didn’t pay any attention but rather just walked to her office.
“Finally! You have decided to come back to thought you will be gone for your leave just like that” Michelle came in rushing to Camilla
“Hello to you too. Am doing great thanks” Camilla sarcastically replied as she put her laptop on her desk
“Whatever! Anyway so wanted to show you the pictures of the new CEO!” Michelle said going through her phone
“got it!” she said looking at Camilla and Camilla was already walking away.
“Cammy!” Michelle called her bit she was already gone

“Camilla! Welcome! Am glad you are back. Come in!” Adrian greeted her all excited
“Hello! I came to drop off my these reports and hand over a few things before I leave” Camila formally said to Adrian and turning to leave
“You must still be upset about the incident your father” Adrian said as she just kept quiet
“I think I made myself clear concerning how I feel about that man” Camilla said
“Please next time don't do that.” She added on and walked away.
“Camilla!” Adrian called me but she was already gone out of his office.
Camila went back to her office and locked herself in. She wanted to breath but heard a knock on the door.
“Come in!” She shouted after sitting nicely.
“Mr. Parker asked that you go to his office once you come back” Michelle said and Camilla just sighed.
“Are you okay? Since that day you didn’t come in and now today you are here but your mood is not that great” Michelle said
“Long story. Let me meet Mr. Parker then I will be back” Camille walked out of her office going to meet Mr. Parker.
She was in a black office pant, beige top and nude stilettos.
When she reached the office she knocked twice. “Yeah!” he answered and she slowly entered the office
“Hello sir, you wanted to see me” Camille said as she entered the office looking at the back of the chair.
“Yes of course. Please take a seat” he said turning around coming face to face with her
“hello Camille!” he greeted her
“You? You are the new CEO?” Camille asked with her eyes widened
“Yes I am. Please be comfortable” he said to her and she just couldn't believe it. She knew that him being here wasn't going to be helpful to her. And plus why didn't he tell her when they met at home?
