Chapter Seven
When he saw Mandy walk away quickly, Ryan felt stunned. She didn't even look back. He did not understand what led her to do so. He never met a girl as withdrawn as she was. After a whole week of looking at her from afar, feeling her slip through his fingers each time he reached her, he thought they were finally getting along, that she had decided to give the attraction between them a try.
Having the girl in his arms, dancing with him, made his body yearn for more. He smelled the floral scent of her perfume to cloud his senses, the soft skin made him want to touch her and never walk away. He longed to let go of the dark hair that was tied in a ponytail, so that it fell over her shoulders and he could slide his fingers between the strands.
