Mandy opened the door and looked at the clock on the bookshelf as soon as she entered. It was almost nine at night. She went to the kitchen to drink water, while thinking about the meeting she would have with Ryan the next day to do the job. The scene of the jackpot he took during training in the park popped into her mind immediately, which made her breathing quicken. As she drank the water, she remembered the intensity of his gaze while she was dancing. For the first time since she started practicing ballet, she felt embarrassed to dance in front of someone. And that had never, ever really happened. She didn't think it could be possible, but she was even more timid when he was around.
