When i woke up the following day the cave was empty. Judging by the temperature and how high the sun was in the sky it had to be close to mid morning. Siezing the opportunity of being alone i shifted back and decided to get dressed. The dress flowed down to my ankles and was a beautiful shade of yellow. It reminded me of the sun and happiness.
Stepping out into the open I spotted Damien and Helena cuddling together. My heart hurt both from happiness for them and pain of wanting the same. It's just 2 more years Allue. You can wait that long. But the same old fears resurfaced. Will I even be gifted a mate? I'm likely to die soon anyways. "I can feel your emotions. What's wrong?"
