She slowly became aware of her surroundings, pulling gently from the fog of sleep. She could hear the soft ticking of a clock nearby, feel the firm mattress beneath her, the soft warm blankets around her and the pillow cushioning her head gently. She shifted herself slightly, testing her muscles that ached with every breath. With effort she opened her eyes, the sun was setting casting dancing rays of light across the bed, Snake was asleep in a chair a few yards away, Judas was in the bed next to hers also asleep. Home, she was home and she was safe. She cleared her throat and Snake pushed to his feet, his eyes were dark underneath and his hair was a mess.
