When Alice woke up again she was alone in the bed, the sun was shining through the window casting brightness and warmth that her life hadn't seen in days. She could hear soft voices on the other side of the door and recognized them as Snake, Reno and Judas. Pushing from the bed she winced at the pain in her side, while the stiffness in her joints had mostly faded the bullet wound burned and ached with every move.
She had just pushed to her feet when Judas came back into the room, he barely glanced at her as he made his way to the opposite bed and grabbed his leather jacket.
“You shouldn't be out of bed,” He scolded.
“I need to stretch my legs, I'm hungry too.”
