When Alice woke up again she was alone in the bed, the sun was shining through the window casting brightness and warmth that her life hadn't seen in days. She could hear soft voices on the other side of the door and recognized them as Snake, Reno and Judas. Pushing from the bed she winced at the pain in her side, while the stiffness in her joints had mostly faded the bullet wound burned and ached with every move.
