Chapter 2

That night he explained to me that I am what they call a "Guardian angel" my purpose is to protect the human race against my mortal enemy - the Vampires.

Yeah I called him crazy and laughed my ass of, but lets just say he made me believe him with a few demonstration...well one, he killed a vampire right in front of me after using me as bait to lure the Vampire to him. I totally freak out and tried to run away at first. I mean come on he killed someone in front of me. I don’t care how trusting he seemed or how hot he looked.

He also introduced me to my new sisters : Sarah, Brooke, Sabrina and Katherine. All of us really do look like sister, sort of, they all have curly blonde hair with blue eyes, where as I have brown curly hair with sapphire blue eyes and grey pupils (weird right like I said I'm not normal I don't really fit in not even in my own species)

We all have special powers to help us against the vampires. My sister each have one, Austin and I have more he says I'm special, because I have more powers than he has. I can heal anybody, feel and control people through their emotion -well more like manipulate them into doing what I want, I can move things by just looking at them

(I love messing around with my teachers by moving their things around) and I can sense the whereabouts of every angel and vampire within a block radius.

We live in an old mansion on a big estate in Los Angeles. It reminds me of an orphanage, a big house with lots of rooms for all of us that doesn't have families, only this time it's my choice. Not that all things are my choice since I still have to go to school, Austin doesn't want to hear anything about it his word is final. He says it could help me in the future, yeah right like I will ever have free time from slaying vampires to do anything else and it's not like I can stay away from Austin,oh yeah I forgot to say that we have been dating for a year now. There isn't much of a human age difference between us, he is 20 and I'm 18, but in angel years he is near a 1000 years old, can you imagine your boyfriend telling you that he is that old.

I don't know why there is only 6 of us because there is like hundreds of Vampires. They only have 2 weaknesses: They only get to live 200 years before they slowly start to turn old basically they turn to dust. Once the process starts they can't move at all. It is a slow painful death that takes at least 10 years, some of them are lucky and we killed them or they die of thirst. Their second weakness is the sun if they go into the sun their organs starts to burn into a liquid poison that flows through their veins disintegrating every last cell until their whole body catches into flames

The summer vacation is over, we hunted vampires the whole time not that I complained I got to spend time with Austin and I got to kill those wretched monsters one by one. The older angels complained- a lot, they are tired of always chasing after the vampires they wish that the vampires could just surrender they are going to die anyways, why put up a fuss. Not me no way I love the chase.

Today I have school again, I really don't want to go,but at least it makes Austin happy. The day started all wrong first I over slept and then when I got to the dinning room there wasn't any breakfast prepared. That wasn't even the worst part, I couldn't find my car keys. I decided to borrow my wonderful boyfriends car. He is going to be pissed once he sees his car is missing, but I think it is only fair I take his car since he is the one making me go to school anyways. I rushed into class and sat down only to see the detention slip on my table, clearly I have been late before…many times.

She gave me 3 hours detention for tomorrow. Austin is going to have a baby. I can't believe I'm going to be stuck in a class while my sister will be fighting over the TV remote or fighting vampires yeah our life's consists out of fighting.

I love them though they are my family and we bicker like one too. The day dragged on and on, probably because I'm alone, I don't really get along with the snobby girls in my school. It isn't my choice they just don't like me or any of the other angels. The angels say that the girls are jealous. I get it I mean being a Hunter means being really fit. We chase vampires around most of the time and we work out in our free time as well, so we kind of have killer bodies. And we all are beautiful, it all comes with the package of being a Guardian angel. I actually envy some of the girls they have their lives, they get to spend their time enjoying themselves being oblivious of the dangers that creeps around in the shadows waiting to rip their throats open and feed on them.
