Chapter 6

The dream   I was in a pitch dark place and I felt super scared. I almost always knew where I was. It has always been my worst fear to be lost in the middle of nowhere where no one knew me, they keep ignoring me, passing me without a second glance. I felt like that now. I put my arms around myself. Looking around I tried to see something, anything in this darkness. Just as I was about to give up I saw a light far away in the distance. I didn't care about anything other than that light. It was my sole focus as I starting running towards it. I got closer and closer soon I realized it wasn't light at all, but a door that was open letting amazing light shine in through it, It was almost like sunbeams, but more gold an magnificent. It sparkled more with every step I got closer. There started to come fog from the door it had a sense of peace. It felt so soft against my skin as it rapped around my legs like a comforting blanket. It felt like something was pulling me to the door and I complied and took the last steps toward the door. I stepped through the door and found myself walking on clouds. The whole place was filled with sparkling sunlight. I fell to my knees taking in my surrounding. I felt a soft wind swirling around me lifting my hair up. My dark chocolate brown hair had a glow to it as it whipped forward. The wind smelled so heavenly. Almost like lavender mixed with mint and musk. I lowered my head and closed my eyes taking a deep breath trying to take in as much of the intoxicating smell as I could. A calming melody was playing that calmed me down completely. I heard laughter and opened my eyes to see images in the clouds and sunbeams. All of them was of happy families and children laughing and enjoying themselves. It gave me great peace and it felt like a weight was lifted of my shoulder until I caught a image that was different it was giving me all the wrong vibes I started moving towards it, it was so dark I had to lean in and look at it. I saw Laura she was talking to the vampire from last night.   "You aren't there to help her." I heard a voice that sounded so soft like bells coming from nowhere and everywhere, it sounded so sad and disappointed. It made my heart ache. All the other images turned dark and I could only hear screaming and sobbing. I looked back down at Laura's image. She was leaving her car with the vampire. A piercing scream came from behind me and I turned to look from who it came, but I couldn't see anything. I looked back at Laura's image once again. She was sobbing and clearly running away from the vampire. She was in the alley by now, she looked back around to see if the vampire was still following her. In that moment she slipped and fell hitting her head like I hit mine against the crates. "No!" I yelled and the next thing I knew I was in the alley where Laura had just been in the same potion as she was. I bend my head down and looked into a puddle only to see Laura's reflection, but I was here I was inside her. What the hell was going on here. I heard something behind me... Her... Us. I turned my head slowly to see what I secretly was fearing. In the opening of the alley stood the vampire his eyes were black and red, it glowed with hunger. His fangs were extended and already covered with blood. That's when I noticed his whole body was covered in blood. Laura's body trembled and a whimpering sound escaped her mouth. The vampire took a step closer. We -Laura and me- tried to get up, but it was useless. Her leg was busted up like mine was. We started dragging ourselves backwards, even though I knew that the alley ended up a head and we were trapped. The vampire smirked and I could see his blood stained teeth as he came rushing closer to us. He grabbed us by the throat lifting us up with one arm. He laughed a malice like laugh and whispered in our ear.   "I got you know." Shivers racked through our body and just like that his fangs sunk into Laura's white skin. I felt the fangs piercing through the skin and then came a burning sensation so bad I felt like scratching my skin off. He started sucking the blood out of our veins. With every gulp of blood the burning got worse it felt like I was on fire. The pain became so unbearable I was begging for it to stop. I was begging, but it fell on a deaf ear as no one new I was in here. I started to see black spots in my view and I felt the body weaken and going limp. Everything was black the body was dead. I was still there I could still feel the unbearable pain and I couldn't do anything. The pain became so bad that I couldn't think straight anymore. If I was in my own body I would probably be pulling at my hair, screaming my lugs out. I couldn't take it anymore. I felt trapped in an endless pit of fire. It kept on burning but my body stayed on fire not turning to ash. I... I…   I woke up with a ear piercing scream just as I felt I would combust from the pain. I thought it was over I could still feel the pain. It was so bad I passed out.
