After years of working the Soul Satisfaction counter, Trixie had developed a sixth sense about when there was something interesting going on in the harbor. That was why she always had her binoculars handy. She often wore them around her neck so she didn’t miss anything. Today, she had a pretty good idea what was happening—hopefully it involved Mac in his wetsuit. Working fast, she piled two scoops of Bubble Trouble onto a child’s cone and thrust it at Ruby, one of her very best customers. “I’m serving you this cone against my better judgement,” she said sternly. “That Bubble Trouble is the most disgusting flavor here. It has actual grape bubble gum in it.” “I beg to differ,” Ruby said with dignity, which was instantly ruined by the way she dove into that cone. “Are Piper and Amy here?”
