Salighayan; A Taboo Love Story

Chapter 1

Deep in thoughts with tears glistening in his eyes, the young prominent vampire stood on the balcony of the mansion of his hated father, how such love he had for his father had quickly turned so sour and transformed into hatred was something he himself still quizzed himself about.

What had really caused it?

It had started on an ordinary day like any other, in a well furnished sitting room, Mike lay on the couch engaged with his phone when Jenny came and laid right on him giving him a quick peck on his lips which made him chuckle lightly.

Mike and Jenny had been dating for the past year, and between them both their love was genuine, they had never been unfaithful to each other for once and neither did they fight for once, they are the true definition of righteous love and the envy of other lovers even.

Mike was moderately tall in height, very fair in complexion nearly pale even, he has medium broad shoulders, rich brown eyes which just stood out in contrast to his skin making him look super hot; he has a nice flat tommy ripped with packs.

He was not that huge and not that slim, and to top it all, he is cute in every regards, accompanied with a lovely smooth baritone voice even though he doesn’t actually sing.

He is twenty seven but could pass for a younger age at any time and that was especially because he is a vampire, a pure breed vampire.

Pure bred vampires can be traced back as far as almost a millennial when a vampire successfully impregnated a human who gave birth to a perfect blend of human and vampire, the first pure breed, an hybrid of sorts with strengths from both sides but very little weaknesses from either side.

The pure breed could survive on human diet as well as blood, they did not have any weaknesses from the sun’s rays and they were really stronger in power and faster in speed since they have actual human blood flowing in them.

The pure breed quickly became a trend and then pure breed vampires only married other pure breed vampires till they grew even more in numbers than the bloodsuckers (as the turned vampires are popularly called)

Jenny on her own part was a very pretty lady with good heart, she is twenty four years and a model by profession, she lived alone with her mom and she never knew who her father was.

But, she was human unlike Mike who was a vampire.

Pure breeds also marry humans, partly because it is easier for a human to give birth for them than another pure breed vampire, but sometimes the humans only gave birth to more humans rather than vampires so the vampires reduced their fraternizing with humans.

But then Mike was already madly in love with Jenny, she knows his secret, and he knows all there is to know about her and they love each other for it.

“Are you done babe?" Mike asked Jenny who had been in the kitchen right before coming up to him.

"Nope but very soon" Jenny replied tickling him and making him giggle before he kissed her.

"Ok, Guess what babe?" Mike asked Jenny again.

"You know am not good at guessing so don't keep me in suspense and just tell me" Jenny said back to him after pretending to think for a few seconds.

“Hmm, Lazy, okay, I am thinking of taking you to my parents, I think it is high time we started preparing for our marriage, don’t you think?" Mike said straight up.

Jenny immediately felt really excited, she stood up and sat on him "Really? I am so glad to hear that baby, I've been pushing for this after all, I can't wait to be your Mrs y'know" Jenny said with a huge smile plastered on her face.

"Awesome, it is settled then, so when will I be visiting your mum also" Mike asked after.

"As soon as I visit your Dad and he accepts me as well as the rest of your folks" Jenny said to him “We still don’t know if he’ll be willing to let you go for a human rather than a vampire to be your wife”

"Of course he will, who won't want an angel like you as his in-law regardless of your status?" Mike said reassuringly.

"Oh well, fine then, I can't wait......oh my goodness! the food is getting burnt!" Jenny said and stood up then rushed to the kitchen while Mike just laughed at her, of course he knew the food wasn't burning, his heightened sense of smell would have caught it first.

A few days later, Mike and Jenny were set to go see Mike's parents.

"So tell me, how do I look?" Jenny asked turning around and shaking her butt at Mike, teasing him in the process.

"Damn! you look hot, I can't wait to have you as mine forever" Mike said then hugged her tight and also squeezed her ass playfully.

Then Jenny as well playfully slapped his hand away before replying "Same here baby" she said this before giving him a peck.

"Okay, let's go" Mike said and then took his car key, they walked out to where the car was parked and drove to his parent's place.

A few minutes later they got to the big residence, the gate opened and Mike drove into the large compound, the maids rushed to him and bowed awaiting instructions like to go carry the load in the trunk of the car or something else even though there was nothing he needed them for, so he only just dismissed them and they disappeared to whence they came from.

Just then his younger sister, Michelle ran to him and hugged him. “Hiya Bro, I've missed you dude" Michelle said to Mike who replied at once as he hugged her to him as well "I've missed you too baby girl" he said to her.

Jenny only stood there mouth hanging and amazed at the magnificent mansion, seeing how big it is, it was no wonder it had to be built a long ways out of town in a secluded area with a forest surrounding it, well that and the fact that it is a vampire family house after all.

"Wow, You look really beautiful" Michelle said to Jenny bringing her out of her trance of awe.

"Why, Thank you so much, so do you too milady" Jenny replied blushing heavily while Michelle just rolled her eyes at the title Jenny used for her.

They all walked in into the big sitting room which was well furnished ornately with all sorts of awesome materials that Jenny did not even know existed,

Then Mike's mother came downstairs and hugged her son accompanied with a peck to his cheek.

"Oh is this the very wonderful Jenny you’ve been telling us about? you're welcome young lady, just so you know, he never stops talking about you anytime he comes here you know" Mike's mother said giving Jenny a warm and sweet hug the she sat Jenny down while Mike's father also walked down the stairs holding a magazine.

"Son you're here" Edward, Mike’s father said to Mike patting him on his back with the magazine. "And who is this lovely young lady sitting here?" He asked his son in an intentionally oblivious manner while staring at Jenny with smiles.

"She is my fiancée dad, Jenny" Mike said boldly to his father.

"Wow I see, well, you're welcome to the family" Edward said to Jenny and offered her a handshake which she took immediately.

"Thank you Sir” Jenny said and then Michelle came and took Jenny up to her room where they started on gist and talks, it was Jenny's happiest day and she felt really loved, a human welcomed with open arms and hearts to the midst of vampires.

They ate and drank after a while because the servants had prepared a mini feast in Jenny’s honor as ordered by her lover’s father.

Shortly after the feast, Mike and Jenny left for their own house, and on getting there, they kissed for a while and then they both hit the shower after which they moved to lay on the king sized bed of Mike’s bedroom, it had been a tiring day after all, well at least for Jenny who was human, pure bred and well trained vampires like Mike don’t get tired as easily as humans do.

“So we would be going to your parent’s place tomorrow right?" Mike said to Jenny kissing her neck and sending tingling sensations down her spine.

"Oh, No, I haven't inform Mum yet, let us make that next week uhn" Jenny said to him while squirming under his tingling touches and kisses.

"Alright, Your wish is my command ma’am" Mike said to her then they continued kissing which quickly escalated into a love making session.

The next week came in a flash.

Mike was already super nervous, what if Jenny's mother did not like him, what if she refused to let them get married? She also doesn’t know what I really am, Jenny had decided that it was best to let that remain a secret, 'But just how long can that be kept as a secret, till the wedding or after, or till she died of old age?' Mike thought to himself.

He was done dressing and was waiting for Jenny, just then she walked out also fully dressed and as usual they kissed before heading out.

They took his car again and drove off to Jenny's parent’s place.

On getting there they knocked, and a male voice answered telling them to come in.

"Hmmm? Who was that?" Jenny said mostly to herself as she was genuinely surprised to hear a male voice from the house then she walked in only to get shocked.

"Dad?... what are you doing here?" Mike asked also receiving his own dose of awesome surprise when he saw his dad sitting down and then Jenny's mum came out to the sitting room right after.

"Oh hey baby you are welcome!" Jenny's mum said oblivious to the drama unfolding before she entered and gave her daughter a warm peck on the cheek.

"Erm, What are you doing here Mike?" Edward asked his son since the shock and surprise was still going round about.

"I really should be asking you that Dad, I came here to meet Jenny’s Mum" Mike replied a bit sharply getting annoyed.

"Wait what?!.... Edward! This is your son?" Jenny's mum asked finally receiving her own surprise tablet dosage.

"Oh my gosh... well yes he is" Edward said as realization uncovered truth.

"Jenny isn’t he your boyfriend, I mean the fiancé you were bringing here today?" Jenny’s mother asked her quite unsure of what to make of the situation as it kept unfolding in an ugly way.

"Well, Yes Mum, he is" Jenny replied confused as she has not fully realized what was going on yet.

"Oh! Edward... I'm doomed" Jenny's mum said with guilt and shame as well.

"What’s wrong Mum?" Jenny asked totally scared and still clueless as to the final realization of the issue.

"Jenny... uhm, this is your father" her mother said to her in obvious emotional distress.

"That is a joke right?" Jenny answered almost immediately, deep down she had feared that was what was unfolding.

"Not at all, He is your father, I pleaded with him to come since you said you were bringing your fiancé today and I just wanted it to be kind of special, not this, not that your fiancé would turn up being your brother" her mum said with tears.

"No, no, no, this isn't real, this can’t be real!" Jenny said crying while Mike just froze there, he had realized what was going on earlier than Jenny did, not knowing what to say or do after.

"It is all my fault, I am sorry it took this long to let you know who he is, it was all because we weren’t on good terms" her mum said trying to placate her.

"Oh... no... no!!!" she screamed and ran out, Mike immediately ran after her calling her, she ran as far and as fast as she could crying bitterly, Mike couldn’t catch up in time, not while running as a human.

Just then a car that was moving with a very high speed suddenly drove across.

"Jennnnnnny!!" Mike screamed and this time, he threw away all caution and with his vampire superspeed he ran, but it was too late because the car had hit her and sped off.

She fell into his arms, a pool of blood quickly gathering as he held her close to him "Jenny... Jenny!" he cried weeping bitterly.

"I... love.... you" Jenny said to Mike with a rasping voice choked with her own blood and died.

"Nooooooooooo!!!" Mike screamed.

Mike winced as he remembered the horrific and tragic death of the love of his life, his eyes had frozen from all the tears he wept and while there was no warmth in them, they were devoid of joy as well.

One thing he had regretted as well was allowing Jenny to stay human, she had said when she was ready to be turned she would tell him, but she had also warned him that under no circumstances should he turn her without her consent.

Till the very end she stayed true and human, she could have said turn me with her last words, but she chose to profess her love to him instead.

His heart was blank and hardened, it will probably remain so for all of eternity.

He jumped off the balcony.
