Chapter 21

- Eric William Miller  - After Lily went back from my office, I called the real estate agent and informed them about the house that we chose. Thereafter, I was left out again with my lots of thoughts about the unexpected fact that I covered about Lily. How she was different from the other girls that I used to date. If it was the other girls, they would be jumping with excitement about receiving the house as a gift without thinking twice. And also with her position, her family could easily afford to buy that kind of house. Also when I found out that she used to live in a studio apartment when she was living alone from Nick. When I asked Nick why she was living in a studio apartment, he said because that’s what she could afford with her salary.  Despite the fact that she was from the rich wealthy family, she was humble and independent with her own. That was the fact, she was a totally different girl from the girls that I used to date, especially Sophia. While I was thinking about her, something suddenly reminded me.  “Shoot! I forget to mention her about the interior,” I mumbled myself. I was about to call her and asked her but I decided not to call and asked her anymore. Instead of that I instructed my PA to find an interior design company and made the company take care of interior design to the new house.  After taking care of the house stuff, I worked late as usual with Jimmy. Thereafter we finished the work, I was talking to him about Lily, how she was not accepting the house and also the ring. “She’s an i***t,” I remarked.  Jimmy laughed at my comment. “Son, she is different. She’ll be a perfect partner for you,” he added while patting my shoulder.  We talked until we reached our car parking space. Then we said goodbye to each other and went back to our way. The whole drive back home, I was thinking why almost everyone who was close to him said that Lily would be a perfect partner for him. Why made her so special? I stopped thinking about her as I reached my house.  I was drinking wine and enjoying the city night view from my penthouse. Then my doorbell started ringing. I was lazily walking towards the door, I was cursing to that person who came and rang the bell at his time. When I opened the door, Sophia was standing with her sexy mini dress. She was totally wasted, full with the alcohol smell.  “What the hell are you doing here?” I yelled at her.  “Babe, I miss you, that's why I’m here,” she said as she hugged me tightly. Then she entered my house without my invitation.  “What the f**k are you doing here. Get out now!” I said and pushed her to the door. She was resisting and then she tried to kiss me roughly. I didn’t respond to her kiss and pushed her hard away from me. Because of my force, she collapsed in front of the door and totally blank out. I felt bad when I pushed her in force. Now she got hurt because of me. I couldn’t just leave her like that  so I carried her to the bedroom and just let her stay in my room.  I took the pillow and blanket and then fell asleep on the sofa in the living area. I woke up because of the coffee machine noise from the kitchen. When I opened my eyes, I saw Sophia was making coffee just wearing one of my white shirts.  She looked so sexy with only my white shirt, her long legs were short and she was un-bottoming top three bottoms. I knew she did it intentionally to seduce me. I kept telling myself not to fall on her trap. I walked towards the kitchen and then took away the coffee cup from her hands.  “Take your stuff and now get out of my house,” I said with a deadly cold calm tone, pointing my finger toward the door.  “Eric, babe why are you treating me like that? I know you don’t mean it. Let’s have morning coffee together like before and talk,” she said and then took back the coffee cup from me. Thereafter she handed me another cup of coffee and then she went to the living room. She sat down on my sofa with her crossing legs. “Babe, I want to get back with you. I’ll give up my life from New York and I’ll stay by your side. Please give me another chance,” she said, her tears almost came out from her eyes.  She always knew my soft spot toward her. She knew I couldn’t bear to look at her crying. My heart was softened after I heard what she said. But I couldn’t give my heart so easily to her again so I just pretended that her words didn’t affect me at all.  “You know right I’ll be getting married soon. Moreover I told you I don’t love you anymore,” I emphasized on the words don’t love you. “Now I'll really appreciate it if you get out of my house now. I don’t want any misunderstanding from my fiancée,” I said. But she didn’t care or listen to what I said and didn’t even move an inch from the sofa.  “Babe, don’t try to push me away. I know you were just trying to make me jealous of you because of what I did to you,” she said while coming closer to me.  “I’ve nothing to say to you anymore, now excuse me I need to go to the office. Your boyfriend will be waiting for you too,” I said as I walked toward my room. I went to the bathroom and then locked the door. I took a shower quickly and then walked into my dressing room only with a towel wrapped around my waist.  While I was selecting the clothes, Sophia hugged me from behind. I felt like my whole body got electric shock, all my spine was awake. She could still make that kind of effect on me. I broke her hug and then I pushed her away from me. “Jesus Christ! Don’t even touch me again. Now get out or I’ll call security,” I said as I picked her clothes, bag and shoes from my bedroom and then threw them outside of the room. Then I dragged her out of my room and locked the door.  “Seriously, Sophia, if you don’t get out now I’ll call security,” I shouted at her from inside of the room.  When I came out of my room after dressing up, she was nowhere to be found. I saw a note on the table. It said “I’ll not give up easily on you babe, your love”. After I read I just scrambled the note and then threw it to the bin.
