The girls were laying on the floor and four pairs of eyes were staring at them.

Lukas took Alli from the floor and placed her on the couch. He had no idea why she reacted like that when she saw his cousin. And who the hell was that man she mentioned. Why both of them were so afraid of him. He covered her with the quilt and kissed her forehead.

- Come to my office. For you to come at the middle of the night, means the problem is bigger than I expected.

When they settled themselves comfortable in Luke’s office, Tom explained the reason of his visitation.

- It was laying on the ground next to the corps of one of the pack wolfs that died in the attack. The wolf was female.

Little by little the screams stopped and she was starting to calm down, when they heard another screams coming from Nate’s room. Sang was screaming too. She was begging him to stop. Luke used the mind link to ask his betta what is going on.

- Nate, speak. What are you doing to her?

- Nothing except trying to comfort her. She is having a nightmare.

- Sang too?

- Yeah, Luna also?

- Yes!

Alli started to open her eyes, when she heard Luke talking to the man, she attacked earlier.

- What is going on with these girls? Why are they reacting like that? And I still have no idea why they attacked me.

- Because you look exactly like him. – Alli said.

The men turned to her in shock.

- Exactly like who? - asked Thomas

- Like the man who used to hurt us.

Luke was more than furious. Someone dared to tuck what is his, someone dared to hurt his mate. He wanted to kill him and everyone who hurt Alli.

- Who is he? – asked Luke with his alpha voice. Unfortunately, that wasn’t working on humans.

- It doesn’t matter. He is dead.

- Then why did you attacked me?

- I’m sorry … at the firs moment I couldn’t believe my eyes … I acted on instinct … to attack you was a way to protect myself and Sang. … but only when I saw your face at a close distance, I found out that you are not him. … I apologies again.

- I see. If it’s like that, then I will not do anything, but don’t you dare to try something like that again.

Alli slowly stood up from the couch and approached Tom. She gave a better look on the man. She traced his face with her eyes and when she was finally 100 % sure that he is not that man, she calmed down. Luke was observing her, tracing every move she was making, and when she stepped back from Tom, he released the breath he was holding. His inner wolf was in desperate need to be close to his mate. Without hesitation he grabbed Alli for her hand and hugged her from behind.

- What are you doing? – asked Alli. – Release me. – she said. But Luke had no intention of doing it. He was enjoying being so close to her.

- No!

- What? Who the hell you think you are?

Luke ignored her question and took her to the couch. He gave Tom signal to get the hell out of the room, and with laughter Tom headed to the guest room where his mate was. Luke placed his head on her neck and breathed the scent of his mate.

- Relax Alli, I’m not gonna do anything to you. … You scared the hell out of me tonight. When you attacked Tom, … I was never so scared in my life. He could have killed you.

- … I already apologized to him …

- I know, but I was never worried about him. He is strong enough to protect himself and his family, I was worried for you. You have no idea how dangerous my cousin can become if he thinks that something or someone is threatening the life of his family. Now tell me, who is that man?

- I told you it’s none of your business. He is already dead.

-Alli look at me. – Luke took her head and turned her around so he can see her face.

 She was still pale, but she looked better. The fear was no longer on her face. They were looking each other into the eyes without breaking the contact. Suddenly surprisingly for both Alli kissed him. It was a kiss out of desperation. He bent down, his lips against her cheek, brushing it lightly—and still that light touch sent shivers through her nerves, shivers that made her whole-body tremble.

- If you want me to stop, tell me now, - he whispered.

When she still said nothing, he brushed his mouth against the hollow of her temple.

He traced the line of her cheekbone.

His lips were against hers. But she had reached up and pulled him down to her, and the rest of his words were lost against her mouth. He kissed her gently, carefully, but it wasn’t gentleness she wanted, not now, not after everything that happened, and she knotted her fists in his shirt, pulling him harder against her. He groaned softly, low in his throat, and then his arms circled her, gathering her against him, and they rolled over on the couch, tangled together, still kissing. His tongue slipped inside her mouth, gentle but demanding. She griped his hair, pulling him closer. She was feeling him—all of him—pressed against her. His hands were everywhere.

- I need you -  he growls, his voice low and husky.

He runs his teeth along her jaw, nipping and sucking, and then he started kissing her again, hard. She wraped her legs and arms around him, cradling and holding him hard. He took her T-shirt and she was laying almost naked under him. With a fast move he released her of her pants. She was perfect in his eyes. His tongue traced the line between her breasts, tantalizing and teasing her. Lukas placed his hand over her ringing skin and rubbed gently.
