Jake suddenly felt something stuck in his chest, it hurts and made him unsure of what to do at the moment.
Jess was still smiling, but Jake couldn’t smile at all.
The atmosphere became so sad and awkward. Even so, Jess still found himself amazing for having the mood to joke. “You said you wouldn’t be able to fall asleep. Now that I’ve said it, can you fall asleep?”
Jake grabbed hold of Jess hand this time around and muttered, “I can’t.”
Before death, farewells in life are nothing. Jess is most grateful for the fact that Jake allowed him to complete many of his wishes in the final part of his life. Even though he still wants to see more of this world, he’s already satisfied with what he has gotten now.
